I see it as kind of a sign from them *points up* saying "ya like what ya see? we're kicking it up a notch this year". I think alot of people will become believers this year.

Well lets see what do we have the usual poor quality video at night with NO REFERENCE point that could be anything.

You could fake that with a dozen led bulbs in the distance and shoot some video all you ufo guys get pulled in hook line and sinker!

Absolutely zero frame of reference. No picture of a daylight shot of area...there is NO proof those lights are in the sky. They are probably on the side of a mountain.

For all we know they are pointing cam at the TV or a toy or something stupid......

IMO, they are probably like ATV lights at night on a hillside.

I live on the ridge of a mountain overlooking my town. When I drive down the road into town and look back up (at night) I see similar lights.....due to cars driving around on the montain....

Not saying this is what it is, but it's possible..

Whenever you see a video of a light high in the sky releasing other lights, in Latin American countries, it could just be a hot air balloon. They have dedicated teams down there that build these things as a hobby.

This video shows just how dedicated they are when it comes to putting these things in the air.
No Chinese lanterns with LEDs for these guys..

Also, it doesn't have to be traditional fireworks either, these things can be rigged to do anything they want..

For sure these are blinking lights. That's all what can be said.
What should be debunked?
To conclude these are some ET's, that is a bold statement. Unprovable by the way.

"In science, the burden of proof falls upon the claiment; and the more extraordinary the claim, the heavier is the burden of proof demanded." - Marcello Truzzi.

This statement was also more popularized by Carl Sagan when he reiterated it by saying: "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

So, when you post a video of some random lights that sort of look like the trailing embers of a fireworks shell and then quite smugly proclaim "debunk this" as if this were the be all end all of alien visitation evidence - you aren't going to get very far. Videos of miscellaneous lights are not even close to evidence of "aliens". You will only get the true believers agreeing with you and other, more logical people who want actual proof. Sometimes we are quite immaturely referred to as "debunkers".

Anyway, the burden of proof falls upon the person making the claim. This unremarkable video is not that proof.

This is spectacular. Assuming it is not lights from a rather common source or video trickery, I would say this is spectacular. I can't think of anything someone could to produce results like this. Could be CGI, but I have called real things CGI, and CGI things real, ya know what I mean?

All the 'lights' are falling. The ones that appear stationary are perhaps being temporarily cushioned by wind, making an optical illusion.

A pyrotechnic glider fits the bill.
pyrotechnic glider
Skip to 2:40 where it starts crapping individual fireworks.

Remember, in the UFO vid you're seeing this at night, at a different angle, and from a far distance.

i didnt know skydivers have the capability to make such formation in mid air. Unless they have super powers...

there's no frame or reference and there's these things called angles and parachutes.
youtube skydiving formations

its not like were watching some great awesome light show, how do u get from lights in the sky to aliens from outer space? big big jump

Exactly.
Nasa already confirmed earth like planets, we have so much evidence out there from politicians and army people. And still people cant see the truth...

Could be a parachute display team doing a night time jump.

We have seen plenty of vids like this in the past.

The truth that there may be habitable planets out there - of course. The truth that there is extraterrestrial life out there - probably. The truth that extraterrestrial life is visiting Earth - not a shred of actual proof and also not very likely. I would say that most of us "debunkers" believe that there is life "out there". We just do not believe that "they" are visiting us. We are such a tiny little speck in an infinite universe. We shouldn't be so arrogant to assume that they must be visiting us. Even if we assume that some alien civilizations have somehow developed faster than light travel, the chance that they could find us is infinitesimally small. It would be like trying to find the one grain of grey sand on a white sanded beach.

Skydivers? Seriously? 20 skydivers with varying colours and sizes of lights moving around independently up, down and side to side at different speeds? Denial.

I guess its all about what you believe is possible and how you view the way everything works including life and death. I have beliefs and have had experiences that dont limit the way i think. And i think they could easily find us. Anything is possible.

I don't think it is skydivers either, but I don't understand how one makes the leap from unknown lights to alien visitation. It's just baffling to me how people jump to the most outrageous conclusion over several more likely yet less exciting explanations.

Holy moly! Wow and whoa! I friggin love it!!!

I am convinced this absolutely took place, witnessed by this family. I have no doubt what so ever. However, I'm just not convinced what we're looking at though.

UFOs giving 'birth' to other UFOs have been seen recently and is relatively a new aspect of these incredible sightings.
(Seems a group of aliens knew we needed something a bit more extravagant to stop the debate and debunking)

Truly amazing OP.
Big huge thumbs

In the latest UFO news, a video taken at night over Campinas, Brazil on January 3, 2011 has aviation experts and UFOlogists baffled.
In the video below, glimmering lights, rising in a spiraling column hundreds of feet long, is filmed against the inky black nighttime skies over Campinas.
Hmmm that's not what the description says when I follow your link:

www.youtube.com...

which leaves me to believe this also was taken in Campinas
"leads me to believe"????

We don't even know where this video was taken? Epic fail. If you don't know anything about a video, like where and when it was taken, it's probably not worth the time to look at.

You said debunk this? How about your link is wrong and also the information.
This video is from Mexico not Brazil.
You may indeed be right. The person posting the video obviously doesn't know where it's from, so you could claim it's from anywhere else and based on the uploader's comments, it would be hard to disagree with you.

If we ever do get good evidence of a UFO, one of the requirements will be to know where the video was taken. The fact that we don't know (unless we can verify Free Spirit's claim) means it's not really good evidence of anything, and in fact the unknown location may be an attempt to hide the true location of the video, which may reveal what is being photographed.

really, its a home video recorder. What references do you want?
Isn't it obvious that it is the sky...
How about the location where the video was made?

For starters.

I agree it's not only possible, I think it's the best guess in the entire thread.

I also am not sure what it is, but that would be my first guess.

Both are great. Again it just proves what Nasa is starting to confirm with the discovery of earth like planets...
So what looks like a hot air balloon dropping stuff with lights on it confirms NASA's discovery of other planets?

I admit that's not the first thing they taught me in logic 101.

Lets put aside the millions of people who said they saw, encountered or been abducted.
All these military people, politicians and even astronauts are lying.

Mexican government also?

That is the WORST UFO footage i have seen, respective it as as bad as 90% of the others.

You know what i see? I see light dots on a BLACK background without any reference or anything, its not even possible to guess a distance/size/speed..its only moving and blinking dots before a black background.

Heck this could even be people with lanterns on a hill or something or possible or likely skydivers with flares doing some performance. If this is the "best" UFO footage..maybe i should get a new hobby.

Edit: Sorry, just getting really tired of those night-time "lights" videos since they can be ANYTHING.
