oh the irony of your name, and the title of this thread OP. This is pretty crazy stuff, think of all the possibilities that could come from this. There are some things that I believe the human race is not ready to use, this being one of them.. The world is a scary place......

"We all either live in a deterministic reality were every action has been planned out since reality came into being or its absolute and utter chaos and everything is happening all at once. One option gives you choice and the other makes you a slave."

That would be some plan indeed my friend. And on the other side Chaos may turn out to be predictable in the end, just look at some of the work scientists are doing on fractals.

Dont get me wrong. Chaos does have an order to it it might be infinitely complexe but there is order to it. The problem i have with Linear reality such as a deterministic reality. Is its lack of substance and how it doesnt match the complex beauty of the observable universe. All we need to do is look at the intricate and complex way in which even our eco system works to understand that this is not the only reality. This much variety can only exist with infinite choice. Thats one planet in a googolplex of planets. now that IS heavy. lol

I dont think humans in their current state of existence will even come close to understanding the complexity or infinity of reality. We just dont have the computing power. Maybe if we had the brain the size of say a billion galaxies
and even then maybe lol.

I will say this mate, you have a beautiful mind. Congratulations on your thread. Most interesting subject posted here this week. Personally i think our consciousness helps to shape and bend reality to our own will, but thats just my 2cents. Noetic sciences are the way forward before we pursue space time manipulation, safer that way me thinks.

Very neat...

lol that was a cool episode. SG1 was an awesome show. I think this tech works in reverse making the interior move so fast you cant see anything happening. yeah being a fan of sci fi myself i really enjoy seeing ground breaking advances like this.

Lol as i stated time travel and all thing related to time is a massive hobby of mine. so the irony is not lost on me
which is probably why im so exited about it. Dont be scared of the future my friend science is a tool, it can be used to harm or heal. The problem lies with the world to elect better leaders not for scientists to stop discovering the secrets of the universe.

And you know if DARPA and the Pentagon is telling the media about this, they're probably much farther along in their research 40 trillionths of a second.

Stuff like this interests me also. Did you read the article where they managed to create a small tractor beam recently? Roddenberry was a prophet

I wont see it. Ok, then, I wont believe it, until I DONT see it! I believe this as much as I believe we landed on the moon. Cant cure cancer, but can alter perceptions of time......Riigghhhhttt!

wow, you truly live in the dark ages don't you? Do they have running water where you come from?

So, any chance they can develop this for consumer use before this weekend? I'd like to hide an event from my wife. And for the record "vegging on your butt watching football all weekend" is not a waste of time!

Soldiers could one day conduct covert operations in complete secrecy, now that Pentagon-backed physicists have figured out how to mask entire events by distorting light.

What makes you think they aren't doing this now?

Looks like some kind of cloaking to me.

Did they ever manage to come up with a plausible explanation for the cloaked trooper in this vid?

Well initially i believed the stories about experiments regarding invisibility of the ship and the attempts to create a time portal in montauk. From what i have read since then there have been conflicting reports of where the USS Eldridge was supposed to be during its supposed time in Philadelphia. The thing is If the US navy did in fact try to use electro magnetic cloaking tec and somehow punched a hole in space and time i doubt they would inform the masses and would cover it up. Its been a long while since i did any research on the topic and given the distortion of peoples memories couples with possible coverups its hard to know where the truth starts and dis info ends.

As for Montauk i read somewhere that they were using the data collected from the Philadelphia experiment and possible roswell crash UFO back engineered technology to create a time portal.

Again this is all based on info posted in books and sites on the net. how much any of this is true is anybodies guess. Its an awesome story and would be even more awesome if it were true but i cant say either way.

Do i believe the government would be interested in time travel? You bet your sweet potato they would be. Would they tell us if they could do it? Not likely. Have they tried? I would bet big dollars they have. Has it worked? well thats the trillion dollar question isnt it. I dont know.

i read one guy state it was badly pixelated video coupled with digital cammo that makes it look like the soldier is invisible. If we had a HD version of the video it might help shed more "light" on the problem lol sorry physics joke

Really? They manage 40 picoseconds and you're already claiming that They are using it for evil? You have to try REALLY hard to do evil in 40 picoseconds!

Not at all, if time manipulation proves possible then 40 picoseconds could be the same as 40,000 years! Its all about perspective. Dont know about going backwards through if our time stream is linear.

If time is the measurement of change and to your observation there has been no passage of time but an observation change what do you call that? Hiding time???

lol Its ok the water is fine, jump right in

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

Mr William Blake, ladys and gentlemen!

here is the rest,

A Robin Redbreast in a Cage
Puts all Heaven in a Rage.
A dove house fill’d with doves and pigeons
Shudders Hell thro’ all its regions.
A Dog starv’d at his Master’s Gate
Predicts the ruin of the State.
A Horse misus’d upon the Road
Calls to Heaven for Human blood.
Each outcry of the hunted Hare
A fiber from the Brain does tear.

He who shall train the Horse to War
Shall never pass the Polar Bar.
The Beggar’s Dog and Widow’s Cat,
Feed them and thou wilt grow fat.
The Gnat that sings his Summer song
Poison gets from Slander’s tongue.
The poison of the Snake and Newt
Is the sweat of Envy’s Foot.

A truth that’s told with bad intent
Beats all the Lies you can invent.
It is right it should be so;
Man was made for Joy and Woe;
And when this we rightly know
Thro’ the World we safely go.

Every Night and every Morn
Some to Misery are Born.
Every Morn and every Night
Some are Born to sweet delight.
Some are Born to sweet delight,
Some are Born to Endless Night.

So much hype for a vague article about splitting a green laser light passing thru a fibre optic cable and shooting a red laser in the opposite direction.

I'm not saying that it couldn't be used for 'evil' in the future, or that applications of the tech could go terribly wrong were it to be expanded upon, I'm just incredulous that the person I originally quoted has already said evil *has been done* despite as far as I can tell, no evidence or theory of any kind to say so!

Fair point but come on, were spitballing here. A man would be a fool not to push a plan as far as it can go, eh?
