Firstly they would NEVER allow a true rebel, a true "For the people" candidate to get elected.... never.
Secondly, even if by a miracle there was one and they did get in, they'd get taken out quicker than you can say "Texas school book depository"
Third, what power do you honestly believe a president has?
The guy has a point.
Even if Ron Paul is for real, and he gets elected. How is he going to disarm the establishment - i.e. the people that comprise the military-industrial-intelligence infrastructure. They will remain present regardless of who gets elected. Unless maybe, a large portion of that establishment also supports Ron Paul and can oust those who oppose him.
It is evident that the problem is far deeper than who gets elected for president.
The solution to the problem will require an internal war of sorts - a deep surgery.

Department of Defense Directive 1344.10 (DoDD 1344.10), Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces:
4.1.2. A member of the Armed Forces on active duty shall not:
4.1.2.5. Speak before a partisan political gathering, including any gathering that promotes a partisan political party, candidate, or cause.
4.1.2.6. Participate in any radio, television, or other program or group discussion as an advocate for or against a partisan political party, candidate, or cause.

Because he wants to take the power & money out of the hands of the few and give it back to us.
.
If you believe that you're truly deluded.
Seriously, I know the cult of Ron Paul seems fun and you all agree and it feels nice when you all agree and back each other up and convince yourselves that this guy is so different, but seriously... he's a politician.
If you think he will change anything or even has the power to, you are sadly mistaken.
But it's fun right... you have your saviour.
Enjoy it.
Gimme a shout in a year or so and we'll see how things are then.
