i am simply quoting from the bible. that is what it says about a non believer. you will go to hell. we are discussing biblical theology. and than you get all sensitive because the word of god says all who do not come to know Christ will burn eternally. now that is not me throwing a stone that is the bible making you feel guilty i dint say it ..Jesus said it so your problem seems to be much bigger than me.

and how does the bible give you the authority to judge me ?

I have yet to hear any good discussion on the verses at hand in the OP. All I am hearing is opinions not backed by scripture.

Now I don't even want to post the rest of my verses dealing with this subject and the coming Millennium for fear no discussion will even come from it

Inspired doesn't mean "written by God" or Jesus for that matter...

"Inspired" means the Holy Spirit is the author of scripture, the human writers merely held the writing utensils.

Now, now. I could care less if I offend anyone on here to be honest. The Gospel itself is offensive, so is Jesus Christ, Peter and Paul on multiple occasions.

Matthew 3:7
"...O generation of VIPERS, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? "

MATTHEW 12:34
"O generation of VIPERS, how can ye, being EVIL, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

MATTHEW 23:33
"Ye serpents, ye generation of VIPERS, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?"

I could go on, but what's the point? Jesus Christ never once thought about "offending" someone and neither do I. Speak the truth WITH sarcasm, irony, humor, anger, love, and never look back. This is what God does, and I will follow suit.

Besides, all I called these two arguers was "ladies", a gender classification that both of them were arguing about as well. I wouldn't go as far as Christ did and call them literal bad names and derogatory names as well. The mods would ban Jesus within one day. That's why the Bible is banned from Schools you know. Because it is hate literature

bottom line is the gospels are offensive to those who do not understand them

Everyone needs a calm-down cocktail. You missed his sarcasm. He isn't saying HE thinks the Bible is hate literature, he's saying schools ban the Bible because they (the schools) claim it is. He's mocking the schools assertions. I agree. Somehow the Bible is "hate literature" they say, yet "Origin of Species" is not.

Don't you mean Jacob and Ismael? God Himself said the son of Hagar would not be heir to the promise. That child was a child of the flesh, Issac was a child of faith.

in Genesis 12-we have God calling Abraham out of the land of ur, in Chaldea.

muslims fast from crescent moon to crescent moon during Ramadan. what is now mecca in Arabia was an ancient capital of pagan religions and it is why they would pray towards mecca long before mohamed.
you have to askyourself why is the religion so widespread..its because mohamed repackaged these pagan principals into islam. .......islam is not a Abrahamic religion.

i agree the bible is R rated, but it should not be offensive. the reason is the writers did not sugarcoat anything and wrote everything that happened as they lived it or as it was past down to them. unlike the Egyptians and other empires who would only write on record history in their favor, for example with the hyskos, there is very little that the Egyptians did not destroy because they were not from Egypt but had conquered their land. the Hebrews recorded every captivity -every death- every plague,towards them or in their favor-- this to me puts validity on the bibles integrity whether others feel its offensive or not. i never have found it offensive even before i came to know Christ

we can hardly breath now without someone feeling offended

No I am not. What does that have to do with the scribes writing everything in favor of the jews, and making even God "jewish"?

Interesting how in one place, God promises Abraham that his progeny (from Ishmael) will be blessed and as the number of the stars ... then later on, these verses (above) call Ishmael a donkey ...

It is sooooo transparent, that the scribes in their ranked hatred towards anyone and anything not jewish wrote this, that it hurts.

They were experts in fixing the scripture to their needs.

And on the second part about the moon, etc.: You quote a nice verse there.

Because Jesus declared in several places that Moshe (Moses) was the author of the Torah. Was Jesus lying or ignorant to the "fact" that the scribes wrote it?
