may i be the third to sugest you commit suicide and stop bothering the rest of us - you will have your painless death - and we will be rid of your babblings simples

This is terrible!!
May I be the FIRST to tell the OP that:

LIFE is a precious GIFT given to you.
You cannot return it to get a refund.
Take a good hard look around you at all of the struggle, strife, and all that you hate and despise....
AND DEAL WITH IT.

Instead of wishing death, wish life and happiness, because that is what this is all really about, your unhappiness with a very chaotic world. Feeling powerless? Empower yourself. Make changes! Your world will never change unless you do.

You are here to grow and learn in ways you or I cannot imagine. Much learning comes through struggle, but for you, it does not have to be that way. All it takes is a change of perspective, very easy to say, but very hard to do. If you want happiness, you have to get it for yourself, no one will hand it to you and it takes A LOT of work that I find most people are to lazy to even make a serious try. Even trying is empowering yourself....so that you don't feel helpless.

I love this planet, and I love everyone on it.
I am sad to see the world in the state it is in, from wars to environment, it seems all out of cycle, but I understand that being here, NOW, is what is important.

And even if my own personal little world sucks, it is all temporary, and it to shall pass, and I will have learned from it and grew.

Just my thoughts

What is your obsession with the merits of others? You remind me of a woman who goes out in hopes of finding the perfect man, only to be dissopointed when the men she seeks do not all have 1millions+ salaries and a nice body. I seriously pity the fact you were brought up in such a way to judge people so quickly. You show hate towards the human race, you show profound signs that you are 100% serious and feel the want to follow up your words. You are no better than a racist, judging an entire populace of people on the disfortune of your own life.

If you want to enjoy life for what it is, get out of your comfortable house, give all your possessions to charity, and live in the woods.

Also you sound like a right hipster LOL

"'"This is a horrible nasty world, people here don't respect each other, their heritage, their elders, their leaders, their past, their neighbors, the earth they live on etc."

Surely respect for others begins with each of us as individuals respecting ourselves first?

When did contributing to this planet in a helpful, selfless way become the measure of the value of a species?

Do any species live selflessly? No, otherwise they wouldn't live. Every living thing consumes resources competitively, and the success of any individual or species is always to the exclusion of another individual or species' success. Every animal eats other living things to survive. We all (all animals) kill other things for our own benefit. Maybe one could argue that plants are more "selfless," but the fact remains that anytime one plant grows somewhere, it prevents other plants from growing there and using whatever resources it is using. Trees are tall so they can beat out other trees for sunlight. Life is competitive by nature. Any living thing that isn't competitive - or that doesn't win - will lose the resources it would need to survive to some other living thing that is more competitive. Sometimes the way in which this plays out is complicated, and individuals do end up acting for the benefit of another individual, but any behavior of any living thing can ultimately either be explained by evolution - in which case it provided a competitive advantage to a species or genetic profile - or it is not a successful behavior and the individual is worse off for having done it.

None of this is bad though... it's just how the world works. Every successful organism effects their environment and makes things worse for other organisms. But, since living things are constantly adapting, these changes benefit many organisms, too. Consider greenhouse gas emissions - many people like to point to this and say, "Look how bad humans are for the earth." But, we're not the first living things to change the atmosphere. In fact, free oxygen did not exist in the Earth's atmosphere until about 1.7 billion years ago. It was - and is - generated by living organisms which produce it as a metabolic by-product. Now human beings and countless other organisms depend on this waste/pollution in order to survive. Did you know that the average human body consists of about 10 times more bacterial cells than human cells? The bacteria are much smaller than human cells, so our bodies are still mostly human cells, but tens of trillions of individual bacterial organisms live on and in each one of us. Our success is their success.

I think you've got the wrong idea about this issue. Evolution and life are set up for competition. The competition always benefits some living things, and it is responsible for all of the diversity and biological success that exists today. Just because human beings are smart and act in our own best interest doesn't mean we're inherently bad. We're playing the game that we - and all other living things - are built to play.

It's also not that I'm particularly selfish. I think it's a great idea to do things for others, and I do, all the time. The problem, ultimately, is that unless you're being physically manipulated against your will, you can only ever act according to your own will. Consciously at least, your beliefs and desires - your wants/will - are the basis for all of your intentional actions. This means that you, me, and everyone else only ever does what we want to do. Someone may say that they don't want to wake up at 6am for work but they do it anyway therefore what I'm saying isn't true. But, that's not right: if the person didn't want to wake up at 6am, they simply wouldn't. They may feel that they don't like it, but they must also believe that if they don't wake up at that time, the consequences will be worse than the waking up. Given what they believe and what they desire, they decided to wake up. This is the formula for everything that everyone ever does. It's always what you personally want. Even if it's to donate a kidney to a stranger, or give money to a homeless person, you do it because you want to. You believe it's right, or it makes you feel good, or you want the person you're helping to be happy...whatever the case, if you chose to do it, it's because you want to.

This makes true selflessness impossible. Even if you start behaving in a way that you believe is selfless, it's not really selfless because you're doing it out of your own desire. You can't choose to do something selfless, because the fact that you chose to do it means that it's what you want - it's motivated by your personal desires and therefore not selfless.

Oh so cool and edgy. 'Humans are bad and I'm different because I don't like humans and wish we'd all be wiped off the face of the earth.' We did not choose to be on this earth, we did not chose to be given a mind which enables us to utilise the earth in such ways, although I feel for a very individualist species we're doing just fine. WE ARE animals, we have instincts and emotions. War is part of the animal species, greed is inside us. You either need to stop watching Sky News or take some chill pills because you clearly can't handle reality. The human race has done a lot of amazing things, if you think there will ever be a time in the near future when there will be no hostility between AN ANIMAL SPECIES, then you're very naive.

im so tired of listening to the same "oh, but we are just animals" speech...seriously

we..no let me rephrase that...YOU are all WORSE than animals...

unfortunately we have a larger functioning brain, than any other species here in this planet, and this gives this pathetic piece of crap of an exucse of species called humans, an evil upper edge against anything else....

the lion hunts the pray...to SURVIVE...the lion doesnt kill its own kind in the name of religion or under the influence of drugs, or for money or pleasure, or because its "misunderstood".

NO.

only this filthy parasitic species known as humans...kill for fun, for sport, for a non existant religion, in the name of a diety, for money, for greed, for control, ....NOT for survival.

this experiment or bad joke gone wrong has been existing for too long...its time to start fresh, start again..

animals kill to survive, and live off only by their own means..not exesivley..

i guess you havent seen the worst that people have to offer....

name one thing that you consider that this species has done "good"...just 1 thing that doesnt bennefit you, or make your life easier...

how have we helped each other?, how have we helped this planet?

just because you give a can of baked beans to victims of a earthquake doesnt make you a better person..

i dont know why i was born as a human, if it were up to me i would be living as far away from any human contact as possible...

soon

amen to that

I feel sorry for you that your life is so sorry and miserable that you would wish the entire planets population to die because you don't enjoy the life you have.

Strive to change your life instead of wishing for every creatures death on the planet.
