Obviously it is the cult of personality.

The cult of believing we were created by Aliens and that they are the ones to save mankind from themselves. That we are going to ascend to a 4th demention state and become children of the stars (starchildren).

The demons pretending to be aliens have successfully replaced our creator as the source of human life in most minds today (see history channel "Ancient Aliens"), and they will attempt to replace Jesus Christ as the savior of mankind in the very near future.

They have set themselve up as both the cause of (Reptilians) and solution to (Greys) all of mankinds troubles.

The whole world is decieved, so when demons manifest in the form of aliens the world is preparred to accept aliens as our gods when the time come for it.

Because a lot of the time, they do have genuinely good ideas, which is a big part of their appeal. The definition of a cult doesn't have anything to do with their ideology. It has to do with their organisational structure, and whether or not abusive psychology is used to convert or retain members.

I believe the cult is called Christianity and it's been around for a long time.

So, I don't post a lot on here, and usually when I do, it's not on something terribly important, or serious. I'm at a loss for words right now, and I couldn't find any other thread (or really anything relevant on google) on the matter.
Some guy, who is a mutual friend, added me a couple of weeks ago on Facebook (I don't add random people, but mutual friends are a different story), and tonight, he messaged me. He asked if I wanted to join the new light. I asked him what that was, and this was his explanation:

Now They Rule With Power To Control All Ends Of Our Globe. They Want To Bring You Into Hell. New Light Is Not A Church It Is A Network Secretly Recruiting Those That Still Have A Chance To Make It The The True Place CalledHome. The World Grows Darker. The Demons Are All Around. Please Take time To Heed This Notion You Can Join. At Any time. Please Seek Truth About The Freemasons And Three Global Corruptions. Recruit More. He also said, when I asked him to elaborate further:

This was just really weird/interesting, and I thought I'd share. Maybe the New Light is a cult? Because it's definitely not fitting the description of the New Light I found on google/wikipedia lol.

It's not "a cult that everyone is joining". It's a secret organization that just wants you to over hear them and have people ask you if you're in a cult so you go "look for it". So, you're doing exactly what they want you to.

The best option is to just ignore and stay away from them. If they ask if you want to "talk", just ignore and get away from them as fast as possible. Once they use the mind control stuff they've got, it's all over for you.

When things seem odd, play it safe.

OP- everyone is becoming psychic. They can communicate word for word without using their mouths. You cant. They view people who cant as expendible and thats why people are telling you to ignore it. You are not part of the "cult" you describe and will never be. The reason you caught onto it was because it was not determined by intelligence. Some of them are actually really stupid. It may mean you will most likely die before 12-21-12 and they dont want you to know you are about to die in a few months. If you dont survive the "change" to becoming a telepath, your physical body dies. They think their mind is like stone, and yours like a sandcastle.
