This is a long shot, and forgive me if it's been posted in the wrong forum but I've been sitting on it for a week and had to ask.

Basically I overheard a very strange conversation with three people outside a library in the UK. They were speaking of a new cult that everyone is getting involved with. I know that's not a lot of information but it sounded pretty ominous, they spoke of how it's gaining speed and people are starting to look it up all over the world although it's not particularly well know in the media yet.

It could be nothing but it's been niggling me and I just wondered if this rings a bell for anyone at all?
I'm not exactly an expert on cults and without a name or any real detail I couldn't do a very effective search online. It just sounded really odd the way they were excited about it in how they spoke.

Anyway, if anyone has any idea what this might be I'd appreciate a point in the right direction.

That is really weird because the other day my sister asked me :
are you in a cult?!!

I couldn't understand why she asked me. at the time.

I want to know about this cult also, come forward cult members!

Is the opening post refering to the mixture of Christianity and Islam,
called [color=gold] Chrislam?

www.chrislam.org

And if so,
what is so ominous about this.

No, Chrislam. It's like two evils combined. Personally I think religion and cults are just crowd control.

Maybe it's a cult of hipsters? I hear that's growing in numbers. I see them everywhere.

It was just the tone of the conversation, it just felt really odd I can;t explain it properly. I'm not saying it's some mysterious new craze sweeping the world, but from what I heard it sounded very odd that's all, and I felt the need to ask to see if anyone had an inkling into what it might be.

I don't think Islam or Christianity are evil at all. Evil concepts? Doesn't make sense..

BUT let's not derail this mans thread...

I totally agree, all religions are fine until somone somwhere decides they need a war and twist the bibles words and teachings to get the majority onside.
