Are the stories of 911 "jumpers" true?

That would be one of the images I was talking about, pretty damn real. It's sad many of them have been abandoned.

No, I'm not here to simply insult people. I'm here to get the people drinking the conspiracy kool-aid to think for themselves. That's why I posted the link to that awful, awful photograph., because sometimes it requires cruel, hard reality to wake people up out of their conspiracy daydreams...particularly this "the jumpers were all faked" foolishness. If you don't want to accept the 9/11 commission report, fine, but that doesn't give you license to be making up crap on your own to satisfy your abject paranoia, particularly when it's a veiled insult to the victims of the 9/11 attack.

How do YOU explain what happened to that poor fellow? Go ahead, say the gov't murdered some poor innocent person, mutilated his body, and then planted it in the street to get people to believe there were jumpers. I triple dog dare you. It's either that or face the (gasp) possibility your conspiracy stories are rubbish.

Yes they are true. People jump from burning buildings when their only choice is to 1. burn to death 2. jump. Most people will jump.

Study basic history and you will see people jumping out of burning buildings is nothing new or nothing to be a conspiracy.

Yeah, the "thumps" are my point. The sound drums up that gut-wrenching horror. From Leslie Raphael:

Something like 200 people were killed that way at the North Tower between 8.46 and 10.28, an average of one every 30 seconds : are we really supposed to believe this would be the reaction of people in the lobby every time they heard that sound ? That 200 times, they would instinctively jump and look around them, to see where the noise was coming from ? The head movement is obviously deliberate and scripted : the crash is arranged, and so is their reaction, down to different directions designed to create artificial suspense.

Until you have been put in a similiar situation you do not know what you would do. I learned as a combat veteran that the body and mind have some strange and uncontrollable reactions when one believes he is in a life threatening situation. Furthermore, its always seemed to be the "tough guys" with the pre combat big talk that were the 1st to pee their pants when the bullets started flying.

I dont mean to be harsh, I am just saying dont so quickly claim what you would do until you have been there.

I think that she is onto something here with those pictures, the images are not that good quality and pixels are easily seen when enlarged.

If i was to make one of these i would have made it properly with photoshop etc.

When you enlarge any picture it becomes pixelated. true, the entire picture becomes equally pixelated, not just parts of it. The examples used were highlighting the difference in pixelation between the jumpers and the background. If they were the same image, the pixelation would match.

In truth, I think it's less the case they've been abandoned and more the case they've been withdrawn in a show of respect to the victims of 9/11. These aren't statues or comic book characters, they were real, live people like you and me, with families whose lives are destroyed all over again when the photos of their loves ones are revealed. I talked to one survivor from the north tower who knew the mother of one of the victims on AA175, and she said she told her it feels like she's being stabbed in the heart all over again whenever she sees the footage of the plane hitting the tower. ITo the conspiracy people, the footage is a plaything, but to her, it's the exact moment in time her son is being killed.

In this case, I think...or at least I hope...I'm honoring the victims by using this photo to prove this "jumpers were faked" bit to be complete horse [censored]. I can't say the victims of 9/11 would be any less disgusted by this runaway abject paranoia than we are.

I believe the jumpers are real..I know if i was faceing flames and incredible heat and not being able to breath and there was no hope i would have jumped also..I imagine some jumped just out of pure fear it had to be terrifying and i still pray for these poor souls ..I don't believe for a moment any of that was faked..peace,sugarcookie1

The book is $39.95 at Amazon and the book is all about how Dr. Wood "scientificaly" studied the "evidence" of what happened that day.

Let me be frank here, nobody has done a true scientific investigation of the event except Dr. Wood and more to the point, she is triple degreed with a PHD in civil engineering and an MS in structual stress analysis of materials in buildings.........HELLO

If there was ANYBODY on this planet who is more qualified to do the scientific investigation of 9/11, then I'd like to meet them.

You are hanging out of a broken window or structure out of a burning skyscraper,Thick black smoke is i comming out everywhere and the heat of the nearby fire is starting to scorch you.You end up jumping at some point when it gets worse.In some cases some just fell off i am sure after watching some of these videos.

No way out ,hanging out of a window,You either burn ,suffocate or jump/fall.
You choose,The latter would be quicker and a lot less painfull.

Is the OST true ? No.

Did people fall victim to this event? definatly.
There has never been a reason to fake this as it is a logical consequence.

I cant say whether or not the stories are completely true or false. But I do know that "live" tv isnt live at all. They can edit what you see on the fly and even take things out. It's entirely possible that jumpers were edited out or just not filmed/shown.
