I am interested, I just don't know much about that area to be able to say anything useful. Please don't ever feel like your info is not interesting, even to us Americans.

Hope this is not off topic or a double post.

Just found an article in the Vancouver Observer whilst about to go digging about UK Earthquakes.

Its to do with disposal of fracking waste, here is the link hope it works!!!

This thread is showing that the "coloring" might be photo shopped in. That leaves one to wonder if they color it as they get their info, or just randomly color shade it. Who knows.

We should start a TN ATS get together, there seems to be lots of us.
No time better than the present.

Phage did come in and try to set the record straight as far as the site being a crock. Im a wait and see kind of person taking information in with a grain of salt though.

Time will tell if the chart is accurate or not. If it is.... We will see big things happening in California... I would think anyway.

And yeah... A TN ATS get together would be fun!

I will bring the bud light! Lol

Exactly... I second this post.

The eq gurus are not in the thread right now to comment but when they do you will have someone with the knowledge to address your concerns. We simply dont know what to say.... Is it odd? Probably, but we dont know as we do not study and research like some of the others on here.

Where is PUTERMAN?

You mean he has a life outside ATS? What if a big one happened and he is living life?

I too wonder if it truly has the power and then I think of how much knowledge the government has....

It puzzles me for sure.

The energy thats bombarding us from space along with this technology could mean different results ... Other than the natural. If its capable of manipulating weather then we are in for a bumpy ride. Wouldnt ya think?

I don't like the idea of these ionospheric heaters period.

It puzzles me, too, what the knowledge the government could potentially have, and on some level I feel that HAARP has been used for negative objectives like weather manipulation. Being where it is located, sitting all ambiguous in the middle of nowhere Alaska.

I saw a HAARP special on Jesse Ventura. A complete conspiracy-driven program, but the nature of the facility seemed very under wraps and the employees appeared very sketchy and out of place. The son of the supposed designer for the facility spoke a little on the potential it has. If anything that part was worth the listen, I think it's up on YouTube somewhere.

Yeah, ive researched it myself and watched videos, even the one you describe with Jesse.... Pretty sure they are indeed manipulating and playing around as if they have a new toy they are playing around with. But at whose expense? OURS!

I would say if there is any truth to the site we have been talking about, we will see the action and if nothing happens We will know for sure the site is a crock!

There is a faultline in the highlands called the "highland boundry fault" seperating the highlands from the lowlands it's normally very quiet. not far way there is a hydro electric plant at Loch Tearnait which is one of the deepest in Scotland. Interestingly the Nottingham Quake seems to have been removed from the global incident quake map. I wish i'd done a screen shot now.quakes.globalincidentmap.com...

Im checking my history to see if i have it there.

Not a prediction, but more of a whats should normaly happen next.

I would think that we may see an uptick in the New Madrid because of the stress. I'm not saying today or next week. It just seems the way it works.

this may seem like a ridiculous question but as i have just started following earthquake data i will ask and make myself look like an idiot

why was this quake downgraded...i ask because unless i am mistaken a 6.3 is more than 10X the strength of a 5.0 or am i incorrect?

please someone educate me

upgraded again? is this normal for the ratings to fluctuate?

I guess I am going to have to start diving into some serious HAARP research.

My recommendation would be that your time would probably be better spent on something useful.

No one managed to come up with an answer on this thread

Whilst I don't hold with fiddling with the ionosphere, I do not believe HAARP causes earthquakes. That site is a total waste of web space.

I am around, just busy getting the program sorted out.

Yup, you is incorrect!

In my signature you will see at the bottom the Magnitude calcs. Click on that and bring it to full size. On the bigger than stronger than table look up 1.3 (the difference between the two quakes)

You will see that a 6.2 is nearly 20 times bigger than a Mag 5 and nearly 90 times stronger.

Bear in mind that bigger than means the amplitude of the 'needle' on the seismograph and stronger than relates to the theoretic energy release.

why thank you this helps a lot..........

i am rather confused by all the increased activity some say that this is a sign of a huge quake to come on the west coast u.s.........however i would think that these smaller quakes would release pressure along the fault decreasing the chance of a large quake......but that is my logical brain i am most likely wrong......

Don't worry about your history, go to the horses mouth.

For UK quakes use the British Geological Survey site

You will see that the Nottingham and Scotland quakes are both on there.

Bear in mind also that Global Incident only show quakes for about 24 hours - they have a very short attention span

I believe those are separate events at different locations.
Look at the coordinates...
