How refreshing.
Some real Americans.
We the people of the world need Americans....free Americans to stand and defend their country, otherwise the rest of the world will be a pushover for these scumbags .

Best news I've heard in a while.

Got to love the marines, not scared of # from top to bottom.

I'm sure there will be those die hard members of the military who will follow orders no questions asked. No matter what is asked of them.

But do we really have to fear that members of our armed forces, some our own family members, will actually detain anyone on no grounds other than a superior telling them to do it? Really? There is nothing to fear.

I haven't lost that much faith in humanity. In the end I'm sure this will do more harm than good for TPTB. When people start to realize those in power do not have our best interests at heart, then its gonna get good.

Just remember to not fear it. It won't change the outcome regardless. Just chalk it up to a "WTF are they thinking" moment.

half of democrats and most republicans passed this in the house

that plus the senate and now the president... they want this passed, not just obama, most of your elected representatives. bashing just obama is political bickering and should be frowned upon.

that's my point, yours was about how small minded i apparently am. learn how to argue properly instead of using insults and mellow drama.

I'm glad to see some of our generals standing up against this nonsense.

Too bad that most Americans are so horribly ignorant.

No you just throw mellow drama right back at me. So now by your own admission its gone from all of them are against us to half and most. Your point is mute either way, this will last until they arrest some one for no reason sure, they might get one or two at first.

Granted the first few will have extensive investigative work behind their arrest but the first time they arrest some one for no reason, you will see exactly who we have behind us.

I would guess that the civil war will come and no one will be able to stop it.

Oh now that's just being "Melodramatic" (that's the word
), there will be no civil war because 90% of american's just don't give a damn unless it's their life at stake. It's only the lives of brown people (or "patriot americans"), what do they care?

Its not being "melodramatic" its the truth, If you really see the world around you and know your history, you will see that history repeats itself. A civil war is coming, most people can see the writing on the wall. I'm sorry you can't Its going to take some thing large, but it will happen.

That is true of any force, but I'm hoping the officer corps which is supposed to be smarter, since the army moved away from field commissions. would be smart enough to know who to back. The men are only as good as the officer who leads them. If the officer who leads them is a St bag so will most of the men.

Ok please point out the people beyond OWS and the Tea Party who take to the streets? No one else does. Everyone else goes to work, goes home and watches TV. I doubt most people even know what the NDAA is let alone worry about it.

Don't get ATS insulation syndrome. Most people don't share our opinions nor do they even hear them.

I don't know who or what you are but here in my neck of the woods, we are arming. We live in a tight formation over here. mostly vet's we are smart we watch and wait. OWS and the Tea Party are a joke. The militas are were the attack is going to come from.

Or haven't you been reading about the government trying to attack us left and right. Pull your head out of your 4th point. We are here and we are waiting. Just because you don't see the writing doesn't mean it won't happen. I don't think normal people are capable of or even smart enough to know when would be the time.

If you really are arming you shouldn't be talking about it on ATS.

And you should have fixed your thread title. Two retired generals do not speak for the entire marine corps or military.

The title is as it should be. As is ATS regulations its the title of the news story it has to be the title of the thread.

were you ever military? A retired General still holds the rank, can still give orders and still command if he or she so chooses to. This is just normal, depending on how popular said person was even a retired general can take full command of a unit if he wanted too.

General Krulak is a close family friend of mine and he and my father served in Washington D.C together while he was the Commandant of the Marine Corp. He is an absolutely amazing man with a mind for military, politics and business. I have recently begun attending Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama where he just-so-happens to be the new President of the school.

If a man like that is writing against NDAA, the American public should take note. He is one the most patriotic, educated and politically unbiased men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Everyone should push for NDAA to be eliminated for good.

Yes and as I just said, A man the Marine corps would fallow if he ever called. I know of him as well, he is indeed a good man. One like MacArthur a General the President should fear to be on his bad side.
