Why would the russians do that (I have Russian blood by the way) and am qualified to say that all the russians can do is shout the loudest and actually do nothing. The Army is under funded and the hardware is ageing. The UK didn't get involved in Georgia, why would Russia gety involved in the Faulklands.

You do realise that the Falklands were uninhabited until we arrived, and we arrived before Argentina existed as an independent state? Of course, why would you know this? When do Americans ever know anything about what they shout about?

That is a bit of an unfair comparison as Guantanamo actually belonged to Cuba at one point. The Faulklands has NEVER belonged to argentina

Kind of the point though, no? This is one of the few cases around the world where there were NO natives. Therefore, under International Law, it really is a case "it's ours because we have a flag in it".

If the people the populate the Islands (from British stock) decide they wish to belong to Argentina then fine, that is their right. However, they don't - they wish to remain British.

Any other argument is really redundant against that.
