I don't have anything constructive to add to this, I just wanted to curse all those who have added videos to this thread. You have now destroyed all plans I had for the day and I'll be spending it all watching cats on YouTube
Thanks

Another thing that adds to the mystery of cats is the way they can get lost. Thank god it doesn't happen often but there has been times I have searched the whole apartment and mine isn't very big either. Each time ends the same. I suspect he has managed to slip out somehow. He's an indoors cat. I go up and down the stairs looking at every floor. Even searching through the basement just in case. Then go out and round the house calling for him. Eventually returning to the apartment sitting down and trying to relax. From that on it doesn't take many minutes until he suddenly sits somewhere, on the bed, floor, couch or whatever. I'ts like he had slipped into another dimension for a while.
Another funny phenomenon I hardly see these days is the ceiling cat. They used to be funny too.

I suspect something cruel and unnatural is happening here. Have you ever seen experimental cats who have literally had their brains plugged into??? Various frequencies can make them hiss, spit and sputter... among other behaviors. That's what I think of when I watch this. I consider this animal cruelty.edit on 21-12-2011 by shushu because: (no reason given)

The woman who posted the video, stated her kitty acted this way, when her sister came for a visit, with a new person in tow. Her kitty does this around strangers.....very territorial kitty.
Nothing nefarious going on here. I can show 20 videos showing kitties acting the same way.

This is your idea of "compelling evidence"...seriously...I visit ATS rarely these days because of threads like this.

I don't dislike cats but I wouldn't trust one near my baby like that. Claws are sharp!
Second.
I wouldn't trust someone who has a fear of cats having ulterior motives with children. Anyone who doesn't trust animals, are NOT to be trusted themselves...

Take a deep breath. I've even had a big black male kitty that did the nononono...meow when he was angered. And I can guarantee you, he was not brain modified in any way. I got him as a 6 week old kitty from a neighbor I knew very well. The only thing unique about Che was his propensity for climbing up the chimney to lay in wait for birds on the roof...
Eventually had to have a contractor come in and weld a grate in the flue of the fire place.
IMOHO...you are way off base with your accusations.
