Yes, that is exactly what I am getting at. He does need to shore up support for people that are outside of that target audience. Unless he does, I'm afraid he's completely wasting his time, and everybody elses time, too.

That was great OP thanks for the links. And supine, evidently you HATE Leno and dont care for Paul......why would you click on a link with both of their names in it?

Because I like to stay informed. Just because I don't care for either of them doesn't mean that I am not interested in something that was said that was "Epic." I expected to see some sort of groundbreaking Ron Paul news that might have swayed my opinion of him.

I never want to be accused of suffering from "The Ostrich Syndrome."

You consider a top tier ranking in the two most important states in the GOP primary as 'wasting time'? Yes I agree he needs more time with the seniors but that doesn't mean for a fact that they'll make or break him. It also doesn't mean he doesn't have ALL of their support. There are plenty of seniors for Paul, in fact I saw at least six over 50's waiting HOURS with us to get in and show their support for Paul.

In some ways I like Ron Paul but getting rid of the FDA altogether, and eliminating America's social safety net, is pretty crazy. Also he thinks states should have the rights to do things like ban gay marriage.

Yes, really I do consider him wasting the time of a lot of people.

He does not have a snowballs chance in hell of being elected. People who vote for him, will only be allowing the worst of two evils to win.

He's nothing more than a diversionary tactic.

Pa-lease...I'm over 45 and dig this guy. My Dad is pushing 70 and is getting on board. I've made Paul lovers out of at least a dozen people at work.

Please stop wasting our time with your negativity.

Great. More power to you.

Hey, so far it's still a free country. Stop infringing on my rights to be negative, will ya?

Yea, but why does every Paul thread, especially this one where the OP was obviously excited about the show he attended, need to be hijacked with the same anti-Paul parroting?

And btw, ATS is not a free country. We are both off-topic...get it?

On Topic...Great show I thought!

Hey, it's great that he enjoyed the taping of the show. The topic is about the appearance of Ron Paul being on the show, correct? I am stating how I feel about it, and the show.

Perhaps something along the line of "For Ron Paul lovers," only should have been in the title if people of an opposing opinion should not be commenting here.

Really.... Wasting our time? I think that's up to ME and the other supporters to decide. This mentality that just because elections may be corrupted, you'd tell everyone to lay down their arms & give up --- that is a pitiful & defeatist proposal. Though for the rational, intelligible Americans putting full support behind the only candidate worth a damn; we know we've got nothing to lose, regardless of your cynical assertion.

By the way there is no "worst" of two evils. Evil is evil, through and through. Whether Obama or Gingrich, they're simply tools to be manipulated by a higher evil --- the special interest.

Edit (On-Topic): Just finished watching the segment and I'm thoroughly impressed. Solid answers from Paul, all garnering an applause. And the ending with Joe Rogan endorsing him like that was just perfect.

So, what part did you like? Dislike?

Ever hear that old saying...never try to BS a BS'er?

But seriously, I'm curious. give us your critique of his appearance tonight.

Did you even hear when RP said that Bachman hates Muslims?...there I'm even helping you.

Where did you get all of this from, as I never said anything of the like. You and the other supporters are allowed the freedom to vote as you choose. Make sure you use your vote wisely. If you are 100% sure the guy will win, then go for it. Otherwise are you ready to back up the guy who will win anyway?

Though for the rational, intelligible Americans putting full support behind the only candidate worth a damn; we know we've got nothing to lose, regardless of your cynical assertion.

Well, this is your opinion, which you are also entitled to. Full support, eh? What are your backup plans if he isn't elected?

By the way there is no "worst" of two evils. Evil is evil, through and through. Whether Obama or Gingrich, they're simply tools to be manipulated by a higher evil --- the special interest.

No worst of two evils, huh? Which was worse, Hitler or Stalin?

From an non-American perspective, most of us feel that Ron Paul is the last hope for America to redeem herself in the eyes of the world.

If Ron Paul doesn't get elected then I guarantee you America will fall (no, that isn't a military threat, get your mind out of the gutter).

Backup plan if he isn't elected? There is no backup. It's Ron Paul the entire way or nobody. If the rest of 'thoughtful' Americans want to reign in 4 more years of the status-quo & endless wars, have at it. But saying you'll vote for the candidate who has "100 percent" chance to win is the type of mentality that bogs down the democratic process.

Hitler and Stalin were both embodiments of evil with a similar psychopathic ambition. Why would I choose between one of the two mass-murderers when I could choose the peace loving freedom-fighter?

In-case you weren't reading, that part of the post was an edit describing my on-topic thoughts of the Jay Leno segment. Not in relation to you. But hey, I always do appreciate useless sarcastic remarks.

I guess you didn't read the thread before giving your opinions.

I stated on the first page that I hate Jay Leno, and asked for the meat and potatoes of what was said on the show that was so "Epic."

You couldn't pay me enough to sit through and episode of the tonight show, with or without Ron Paul.

www.cfr.org... -congress/p13092

What are the president’s war powers?

The U.S. Constitution empowers the president to wage wars as commander in chief while Congress has the power to declare wars and fund them. But chief executives from both major parties often differ with Congress over their ability to deploy military power. A number of experts believe presidents have demonstrated greater power to wage wars since the end of World War II. "The president has been commander in chief since 1789, but this notion that they can go to war whenever they want, and [ignore] Congress, that's a post-World War II attitude," says Louis Fisher, scholar in residence at the Constitution Project (and former specialist in constitutional law at the Library of Congress).

Well some 3 years into Obama, where the heck is Obamacare health plan? It's ok to want change, and if you think Ron Paul will be swift about all he promises, then, well..........Also, while I am not a fan of any war, to think that the US will just stop participating because this guy is elected is silly.

Hitler and Stalin were both embodiments of evil with a similar psychopathic ambition. Why would I choose between one of the two mass-murderers when I could choose the peace loving freedom-fighter?

Ron Paul is not God, no will he ever be. To think because he alone would not want participation in a war, well, any president isn't responsible alone for participation or not.

It's 'epic' for ardent supporters. Not for people who think the guest is "wasting everybody's time". & I really don't understand why you're still posting here when your purpose is to derail a thread specifically about the video you refuse to watch. Hey great, you don't like Jay Leno so you say you won't watch it; instead you rag on Ron Paul and disparage his supporters. Great input...
