1) Why is it at the top of ATS?
2) Has anyone alerted staff yet that it is likely a HOAX?
3) Knowingly posting false info = immediate ban.
from news source www.kdhnews.com...
"Despite the fact that the rest of the Army is in a drawdown, the air defense community is becoming a lot busier," Lt. Col. William J. McKnight, commander of the 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, said at the West Fort Hood gym during a deployment ceremony. "The dynamics are changing."
The battalion left Monday for a deployment to Southwest Asia. Its exact
destination and location are unclear, but McKnight said his soldiers will defend strategic assets from possible threats originating from state and non-state actors.
During the ceremony at West Fort Hood, colors were cased and about 400 soldiers left for a yearlong deployment to various locations in the region. They will replace another battalion from within the brigade — 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, which will return to Fort Hood later this month.
If you don't believe it, then don't bother posting or worrying about it. It is a legitimate concern.

I could care less about what forum something is in. Often times I wonder what peoples motivations are for "voting" threads into some other section, despite the fact this forum is not a democracy.
There is fairly clear evidence in the thread that SOMETHING is happening, so who are you to move to shut it down so quick?edit on 17-12-2011 by RSF77 because: (no reason given)

Why not try to more fully vet information?
If some news agency says the Supreme Court ruled on this or that. Why not try to look up the docket number of the case and get the details from the horses mouth instead of getting the spin from the guy in the news agency that "says" what is being "said" by the SCOTUS?
It's a matter of taking the extra mile. If people who post links don't bother to fully vet out what they are posting they can be certain they will be torn apart in a debate if they are irresponsible enough to have their opinion influenced by BS.
I think the individual can do better, and must. This is the internet age. The fact that people STILL wanna take things at face value and continue to be lazy about the sources of information they use is simply inexcusable. It would be laughable if it didn't create legions of gullible conspiracy theorists.
