I have several rings and amulets that are supposedly haunted with spirits.

Had some strange experiences and locked them away in a wooden box...

I have one that I locked away in a silver case after I had bad experience, the other object I gave back to the women that made it, I kept it in a drawer, but I had to get it out of the house, these objects changed me forever, I have not been well since.

I had no idea what could happen, this is why there is always a warning not to mess with things you are not prepared to handle.

well, that all depends. can randi describe "supernatural"? if he can't describe it, then it isn't likely he'd recognize if he saw it. if his description is invisible spaghetti monsters and so forth, then perhaps he's prejudiced his experiment before he started it in the first place.
If this stuff is real, then it should be provable. If it's not provable, then how do you distinguish it from something that's not real?

just like with anything else, you test it.
i don't think the word supernatural is currently being used correctly. i think it just means beyond our natural condition as humans, which is a pretty big territory. it's SUPERnatural. however, there could be other dimensional or other universes, involved, so, it could be relating any number of things beyond our condition. here's an example of what i mean (you may have to turn up the volume)

the precise conditions are just the necessary component for
measuring the effect, not the effect itself.

Notice that the Egyptian book of the dead is also a book of spells, also there are biblical scriptures that are eerily similar to the Egyptian book of the dead,

en.wikipedia.org...

Now I have a copy of the Egyptian book of the dead, but I hesitate to read much, as I hesitate to read any incantation, I can feel the energy being raised.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

I am the Eternal, I am Ra ... I am that which created the Word ... I am the Word ...

Scribes helped write incantations,

There was once this great scribe.

I agree, supernatural is completely natural.

We have forgotten, we now live in a world as a people that have forgot how powerful we once were.

Ok, how?

Oh, and they copied that 4th dimension idea from Carl Sagan.

i considered putting sagan's up there instead or as well, but i just went with the quantum guy cause he puts more visuals into than sagan does. and that's pretty much the way anyone would describe the idea of dimensions. geometry class starts with a flat plane and a dot and proceeds from there.

I want to add a bit info about jin, after saw some miss understanding for what it is, it might help a bit to understand it.
Jin or whatever people might spell it basically naming for creatures or species that are hidden from most human eyes. And it does mean some people can see it.In islamic culture it is a description of creatures made from fire or fire base creatures. They are not a demon or angel, just like human, have a free will, have some culture, belief etc. The different is they have more species than human who got only one species.

About amulets who have jin inside it was a common things in some place in asia. Basically the method only three.
First way is to defeat a jin or the whole kingdom of it. Make them promise to do a thing or things.
Secondly with bargaining, kind like win win solution. In generally man and the jin is in friendships relation or equal with it.
Thirdly with offering, this way a man will offer a jin or group of jins but it is him who will do more. Make the jin have much more benefit compare to the man. Some people might called the last way as selling a soul even it is not fully true.
Different task will need different kind of jin, the stronger someone can do this, the stronger jin level they get.

There are some way to prove it with science. Easiest way is to use high class object that possessed with them. Can be amulets, gems or weapon. Weapon and gems usually have more power than amulets.
High grade object like these can show the ability anytime and anywhere you want. For example a kind of red ruby that have bullet prove power. You can put it on an animal or human and try to shoot it and the one who hold it will be ok.
Then take a high grade keris (traditional weapon from java) with bullet proof power and anti bullet proof power and try to stab the one holding this red ruby, and they will bleed.

But it can have a high risk, due to the owner and the jin inside might easily offended if the one who wanna test it joking around, pay no respect, and arrogance. And it will be hard enough to find it or people who own it in the begining.

Peace

This video really really creeped me out a bit it was very unsettling.

My husband, son and I moved into our first brand new house back in 91' it was a grueling
proceedure before being lucky enough to be able to purchase it because the house went into foreclosure ( the builder went bankrupt) ....There was us and another couple bidding to buy this beautiful house for a GREAT price
which seemed to go on and on and on it took us about a year to buy it from the bank they thought we would be better owners I guess we don't really know why the bank picked us we really didn't care it was our home now.

Things seemed to get extremely out of wack the second upon moving in so many things went wrong. Bad luck was following us like crazy
every move we made seemed to be wrong. We fought all the time we were constantly sick with something we were never healthy all at one time.Just one thing after another kept happening.
Months went by nothing changed we had our dream home but we all were so horrilbly unhappy.
When summer of 91'finally arrived we thought to spruce up the front door and the wood around the windows with some new paint my husband working on the window and I on the door so I stepped up onto the ladder and noticed the top frame of the door there was 13 different colored crystals crazy glued along the top of the doorway
I had no idea where the heck they would have come from or who put them there ...then I got a very very sick feeling and I KNEW EXACTLY where they came from it was the other people who had lost the house. They most likely snuck there and glued them to the door when they found out they didn't get the house. I was so afraid to touch them but they MOST definitely had to go.

My husband and I managed to scrape them from the top of the door and he crushed them with a hammer and threw the dust in the garbage.
The difference was imediate we all felt so relaxed and things changed everything went back to normal no more bad luck or over the top problems ....the house felt different too we fell in love with it again.
That was the worst year of our lives yet. I believe curses on objects are real ........that was a very dark year for us.

Instead you start receiving mails from his organisation, asking for donations. Lol
So you've tried it?

Indeed more than once.
Now I go on deleting their weekly e mails, after reading them.
But I was not aware that he was a magician himself, and quite possibly
knows little about real science.

I've experimented a little with stones and jewelry or sorts, and I can tell you one thing:

Women suddenly develop stronger libidos and physical skills when given diamonds. Real or fake. They cant tell.

unless of course, it's somehow involved in quantum entanglement and other dimensional or other universes.
skeptics of our time are shooting themselves in the foot, much like the priests of knowledge of the days of galileo and copernicus. you personally need to get past your belief that everything is mundanely explained with 300 year old science and catch up to the physicists.

It's a big leap on your part to suggest that I believe everything can be explained by science, it can't and I know there are many amazing things yet to be discovered that will shake the foundations of science and I look forward to it. Are you saying that you believe there are objects that really do exist that are portals from other dimensions or ar are literally cursed e.c.t?

Could you also respond to Stunspot's reply to your above response to my post as he did make sense with what he said?

There are stories about keris that rattle in the scabbard to warn the owners of danger and also people who bought old keris which only brought them bad luck so that they had to have the keris removed from the house. There are similar story’s about Tibetan daggers (phurba) also like keris sometimes made from meteorite metal.

BTW what is the Indonesian name for those stones?

Remember folks..
If you have any bad luck, its probably due to your antique spoon collection or that old macy's snowglobe.

Also, if you did something wrong, it wasn't you..clearly it was demons.

All this mystical mumbo jumbo is simply people wanting to claim something is at fault beyond themselves and simple randomness of life. Ya, good and bad things happen, yet if we have something good happen to us (say we found 10 bucks on the street), we accept the randomness of that and don't suggest our crystal manifested a elf to put that 10 spot there...we accept the randomness and fun chaos..

and forget that someone is blaming dark genie's that they lost 10 bucks

This is how religion is started...this is how "martha is a bad luck witch" mentality starts and ultimately ends with someone burning at the stake. I say to those claiming these magical dark things to prove it or get admitted to a psych ward...because we already had the burning times over superstition and nonsense.

i did respond to his post.
and i'm not sure i understand your question. this is the premise, based on fairly sound logic:

if today we believe our history or science books are accurately reflecting reality as much as can be expected, (give or take some national propaganda), why are we teaching our kids that for thousands of years, all the ancient texts were crammed full of lies? it's been proven over and over again, that the places listed are real places (even heaven has a translation for outer space), the people who were said to be ruling, really were rulers and really ruled when it says they ruled.

so the big question is: what's with the SUPERnatural stuff?

and that's the point where the arguments ensue. 300 years ago, those arguments went completely off the deep end and insisted nothing in any of the old texts was true. the places weren't real, the people weren't real, even the rulers weren't real. and little by little, it's been proven that almost every assertion of ancient texts being nothing but lies, was untrue, with the exception of the "supernatural stuff" (which is said to be a personal thing unless experienced in a group). i can find very little answer that makes sense for all this than the obvious one: it happened and it happens, but sometimes it's misunderstood by both or either side of the question, such as claiming someone is demon possessed when they most likely are suffering from an explainable illness, or the opposite of claiming someone is suffering medical illness when they are hovering 4ft off the floor and speaking ancient languages no one has spoken in 1000s of years.

now it's possible alot of that is also explainable with science, but i'm not as quick to write that kind of thing off, for several reasons. one of them being personal experience and the other being millions of testimonies over thousands of years. and where it is explainable by science, skeptics are dodging it like mad. using any excuse to ignore any possible implication.
