I want smaller government, less intrusion in my daily life, smaller tax load due to reduced social programs, remove corporate cronyism and balanced budget legislation. What i do NOT want is anarchy.

But greed existed before capitalism. Its an innate human trait. Conversely, could it not be argued that a capitalist system creates a heightened sense of motivation - if you want a big house, you can achieve it if you earn $$$ amount.

It is fair to say that the world we (the west) live in contributes to heightened numbers of anxiety disorders / stress issues etc - but again, a capitalist society should facilitate improved health overall - the average life expectancy continues to rise in the UK - I believe I read recently that in the UK, a child born now in the Uk has a greater than 50% chance of living past 100. That's amazing, compared to a life expectancy of just over 30 barely a hundred years ago.

A colleague of mine sadly, developed cancer. She was told that the NHS would treat her but that there was, essentially, a waiting list. She decided to use her savings to go private and had virtually immediate treatment. Capitalism facilitated early treatment (she recovered well). It's not a fix-all - but its pretty close.

Overmensch, do you not feel you should be grateful for what the West has? The typical poverty-stricken African would readily swap places - don't be guilty for being born in a time and place that is wondrous - just don't wish it away. Getting rid of capitalism wouldnt help that African - it would only make you feel less guilty.

So what would you do if a couple guys break into your mother's house and brutally murder her when you are not around? Would you get a few of your smarter friends together and try to solve the crime and deal with the murderers? How are your fingerprinting skills and equipment? What about your criminal database and other resources? Good luck with that.

Dude,I actually almost got kicked of here because I went crazy on someone that used my mother as a similar example. I would punch you in the face for using that imagery if I was standing in front of you right now.

People get away with rape more than any other crime right now genius. Even those that end up in court.

My favourite book is Salingers 'Franny and Zooey'. I think Salinger wrote it for people like me. I dont want to spoil it but that bit of your post reminds me of that book. We have to remember that the world is a beautiful place. And I know that it is.

But I keep remembering the third world. It makes me sad. It makes me sad that there isnt any solution and nobody is trying hard enough. But you are right,the world is beautiful and I can be a downer

I think any reasonable person would feel guilty - and then I wonder whether money spent on space exploration could be spent on things like famine and poverty...but I then realise, that the world will never be an equal place.

If you took all the money in the world and divided it up equally, giving every person the same amount...within a year...or six months...or even a week....you would find some people with masses of wealth, some with the same amount and some in debt! Expecting one system to work for seven billion people is irrational - making the most of what you have is just common sense

No a large authoritarian state ran by globalist Marxist socialists and multinational financial cartels means massive human casualties and endless wars.

There are 7 billion people on this planet now.
Almost all would die .. either of starvation, infection, freezing to death, or for lack of medical help.

We can stop that from happening. Human underpopulation is a problem.We need to populate.
