Canada has embraced all cultures and mixed it into our own , it's been a beautiful thing until the Muslim extremists have brought their hatred and twisted version of Islam to our country ! I've always been very tolerant and it may be a bad attitude but I find myself hoping for ww3 to eradicate this planet of extremist religions ! When shtf and it's -38c and all that's in the cupboard are pork and beans and you have to snuggle your dog to keep warm, the real Canadians will prevail !!!

I'm afraid were too late !! Schools have cancelled Christmas pageants , we don't say Merry Christmas but happy holidays , a Catholic college was demanded to take down it's crucifixes so as not to offend the Muslim students !! WTF !!!!

I don't understand why Islamists want to emigrate to western countries, I really don't.

I hear the usual stuff, they say they come here to make a better life for themselves and their families, and to escape oppression, but when they get here they want to live exactly the same way as they were living in their own scheizen-hole of a country. They don't want a different way of life at all, but try to inflict their crazy rules and laws on us, or try to get extra-special treatment once they get here.

Citizens of host countries are really sick to the back teeth of Political Correctness, it creates more bad feeling than not.

Islamists/muslims: If our western laws and culture are too lax and offensive to you and your religion, why do you want to come here in the first place?

I thought the capitalized "YOU" made it clear I was asking for personal observations, and since I doubt banks keep statistics on burqa-wearing customers, personal observation is all we can go on. I have given mine: I have seen perhaps five women wearing the burqa in my entire life and I live in a large capital city.

I did go looking for statistics on women who wear the burqa and found a story on Quebec banning it for elections. The Muslim Council of Quebec estimates 10 to 15 women in Quebec wear the burqa. I shudder to think of how much money and time was wasted on enacting a law for roughly a dozen people. And Conservatives whine about wasteful spending and big government? Yet if money is wasted in taking away the rights of Muslims, I guess that's ok?

I myself don't agree with women wearing the burqa; it is not mandated by Islam and seems to be an antiquated form of servitude. I also do not think that anyone has the right to tell someone else what to wear or what not to wear.

It goes much deeper than burkas I've "observed " our whole way of life being changed for the benefit of Muslims so they won't be "offended " !! I've lived in Quebec all my life as my family has since the 1700s I'm sure they are rolling in their graves over what is coming of this country !!! Time to get your head out of your ass !!

Our way of life is under attack from 10-15 people? If that is so, we are truly a weak country. I, on the other hand, believe Canada is a strong country, fully capable of dealing with the complications created by 10-15 people.

Often in downtown Calgary. Not every time I go or anything, but when they are they're usually with their husband.

This is very common in my experience. Marry someone from another Enlightenment Nation, you get the freaking gears taken to your partnership.

Immigrant brings in their family, well clearly everything is on the up and up.

I don't get it. Apparently, if you're a US, Canada, UK, Aussie, New Zealand, or European and you get together you *must* be gaming the system. Someone needs to explain their reasoning to me.

They can't go out without being escorted by a male family member, so you don't see them at the bank until their teenage sons have a friday off to take them there.

If you want to see them, you need to go shopping after 8pm. When their men-folk are available to take them out to do their chores.

Writing that actually makes me a bit crazy.
