Thats basically how Australia was founded, most of the people here that have long generational histories in the country have some Irish background.
The Brittish used the Irish as slaves right up untill about roughly 180 years ago.

What a load of rot. The famine was caused by Alternaria solani ( a potato blight]

I'm not British but I do know history and you are what the MODS refer to as nation bashing.

Using what happened in the past, and demonizing current generations in the UK is the same as bringing up what happened in Nazi Germany during world war 1 and 2 and pointing the fingers at the Current Generations of Germans today.

Although there has been apology on top off apologies by recent and present UK Governments I suppose you cant please everyone nowadays.

I never see anyone whom helped out the IRA when they killed innocent UK citizens apologize for that at all. Double standards don't you think.

Being Irish is no different. I was in an Irish Pub in San Fran about 3 months ago. THOSE Irish guys in there were the real deal. (Way cool accents too) PROUD somubiaches.
I made not one sarcastic Irish joke when I was in there I tell ya. Those blokes would have kicked my ASS.

Likely tied to the deaths of these Irish Men found in a mass grave in Pennsylvania. The Irish have had a long hard history here in America, much like many other peoples.

And yes... I'm about 70% Irish and 20% Scottish and the rest is a mix of a bunch of different races and cultures.
