Tributes paid to late Carlisle man who took photo of Cumberland Spaceman

Sorry but he seems a liitle too retro, even for an advanced life form.
Isn't he a little too tall to be a spaceman?

STOP! People please, I will say this one more time............

I created this thread to inform members who have a keen interest in this photo that the photographer has passed away as it is local news, and it probably won't make mainstream media.

Those who want to discuss the photo, should:

A) Use the ATS search function and find a discussion on it, there are several, and one member even kindly posted a link in this thread, and most importantly:

B) Use Google and find a bit more about the story before you try and debunk it or call it a hoax without knowing the full background. As said, pay particular attention to the Australia side of the story, and the governments reaction.

May he Rest in Peace. I remember this photo, at least hearing stories about in a few years ago. I had forgotten all about it, thanks for bringing it back up, aside from the sad news of his passing.

Hey mate, it certainly is an interesting interview and, I might be a little bias being a fellow northener myself, but I don't think he's making it up -especialy when he's describing the two government agents wearing bowler hats who turned up at his workplace, drove him out to the site of the photograph in a Jaguar car, questioned him and then just left him there to walk home - I also wonder what happened to the second film of images that was sent to Kodak for processing and never seen again, would love to see those.

But the girl is in short sleeves and holding flowers. It looks like the weather that day was too warm for someone to be in a sweater and scarf. I'm sure there's some reasonable explanation though for the "space man". Have no idea.

I would strongly disagree it is this low level BS that gives true UFO/alien sightings a bad name.

makes me sad and angry to read some of the replys from recent members that do no research on the famous spaceman photograph. calling it a haox and all that,its never been proven to be fake and the photo has been tested as genuine.

sad to hear of the mans passing i wish his family well. the mystery is still out there.
