One thing I am particularly good at is MUSHROOM PICKING....WILD EDIBLE ONES! Now for anyone thinking they can just buy a book and go into the woods and pick what the picture looks like and eat it with Steak and Onions....I WILL SEE YOU AT YOUR WAKE!

You REALLY have to know....100% for sure....what you have is edible as some wild mushrooms that are DEADLY are similar to edible ones....or as they age or are effected by other flora or Sunlight or a variety of factors....even insects or fungus growing on fungus....or the worst of all....some poor kid picks an edible one but earlier....picked a poisonous one and the juice from one gets on the other and well....by...by...

But IF you know what you are doing.......MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! WILD MUSHROOMS ARE THE BEST! And there are such a wide variety too.....but anyone who decides to try this....go with someone who has been doing it awhile.....I am sure you will find an old 70 year old plus guy with a beer at the end of the bar at a local FISH AND GAME CLUB.....who if you buy him a few rounds....and SHOTS....will be more than happy to show you how to pick the good ones! I think I would have to disagree....I think....nowadays....it is hard to find young people who will listen or consider people of advanced age...people with something important to say.

I believe this is the fault of our LEADERS and the FAULT of the childrens PARENTS as well as current TEACHERS....who have forgotten....it is not the CHILDS FAILURE TO LEARN.....BUT THE TEACHERS FAILURE TO TEACH! Split Infinity

Been sayin this for the whole time I have been on this board. There will not be disclosure in our lifetimes....or even our Great Grandkids lifetimes.

There IS a reason for this....a pretty darn good one! People who want to know.....feel they HAVE to know....and are driven by their constitutional rights that say they must be told.....will be disapointed.

if elders werent so dumb these days they be able to teach us( but they are not dumb their elders where killed off so a lot of hidden knowledge was lost)the elder would teach aabout the powers of the pineal gland and how to activate it inorder to be one with the universe and have obe and other mysterious feats.....

I hate threads on "Native Americans" and all of the stupid noble savage bull# that comes from it. These people were not and are not magical. It is insulting that stupid beliefs like these and the ones in the quoted post are still running rampant in the minds of seemingly intelligent people.

1. Adjust to rapid changes or be the victim? How about just say, "Try not to get genocided, okay?"

2. Really? You went to the city to teach a class on Winter Survival and and were appalled that they didn't know about Winter Survival? What the hell were you expecting? If they had already known about Winter Survival.. why would they be in your class? I find it appalling that you are a teacher. This is no different than taking a man from the country and telling him to navigate the NYC Transit System and then thinking it was appalling when he couldn't.

3. Lakota were not noble savages that only used what they needed. They hunted to excess and stored food for the winter, leaving what wasn't eaten during the winter to rot when game became available again.. just like everyone else that lived in those times did. Why would you continue to eat venison jerky when that grouse that you neighbor is eating (because he already finished all of his jerky from last winter) looks soo damn good?

Tons, are you speaking metaphorically, or have you physically weighed the physical evidence produced and it is over 4,000 pounds? I would love to see what 4,000 pounds of physical evidence of extra terrestrial visitation looks like.

They all believed passionately in the worth of the native past and the importance of an Indian future..There is still many tribal elders still alive passing down there hidden knowledge for all to hear its all passed down to there children and grandchildren ..

This is getting convoluted, so I am going to clarify my stance and be done with it. If you wish to continue with me, please send me a PM.

1. I don't care about 'proof' of other people researching the claims, officially or otherwise, until they come back with conclusive evidence. It hasn't happened. I would love for it to have happened, but it hasn't.

2. My main beef, actually my only beef, with this thread is in the way Native Americans have been painted as magical. I have voiced that concern, several times, and now I am done with the thread.
