Actually the Problem is with: Latin America, India(and the middle eastern nations), and Africa being the number one culprit of over population(meaning African's are responsible for most over population, one of the reasons for the water shortages).

If those regions where "dealt with", over population wouldn't be a problem. Europe, Japan, USA/Canada and even China have gotten their populations under control.

At this point though, there is no incentive to engage in population control anymore as it is consigning your race/ethnicity to extinction as the less advanced and less conscience races/cultures are breeding like jack rabbits. Look at the ethnic genocide mexicans are engaging against American's(in particular African American's are facing outright genocide in many regions at the hands of Hispanic immigrants). Times that by 10, as the advanced nations will be invaded by hoards of barbarians from Latin America, Africa and India.

As a "barbaric latin american" , i will also want to live a extended life span to learn more and be more useful for the world, the men and animals... (since i want to do eletrical engineering , some medical and nanotechnology graduation ...and with my actul life span i will not be able to do all this and be a great professional AND do the difference )
But sure , as you said , i can only be a barbarian and try to cut your head off cuz you will not let me ate your macdonalds burguer , it will be more fun anyway (:
