My mother's place last year, the city stopped removing snow from the streets
Well they didnt' stop, but because of lack of budget they did it much less often then previous years
And this was quite the burden on the elderly and of course people going to work

This is not an Ocuppy ##WALL## Street bashing thread
lol, just had to on the 'wrong'

but seriously, if cities had trouble last year fixing snow on a regular basis what will happen this coming winter?
I'm not saying it would be nationwide, but isn't even one city one too much?
And I think it surely can be more, and it seems they wont' stop the protest in winter either

Thoughts?

If they believe standing around in the snow all winter waiting for something to change, then they will get what they ask for.

If they got off their rears and put down the guitars and drums and actually went after the guilty parties that are the very supposed causes of this protest, then I'd think they'd get things done and can go home afterward and sleep in a warm bed.

I see a win-win. Have the police drop off a truckload of snow shovels to see if they take to the shovel ready jobs and prove that they really represent the betterment of the 99% of the country or not.

I get what you're saying and that is an great point that certainly hadn't occurred to me. You are right though. Many cities were talking about having to get into city emergency funds just to keep up on snow removal. The costs have to come out somewhere... Cities can't print money to cover the losses. That would be a very interesting aspect to see someone put time into a full article about.

maybe you and your mother should be protesting the city's waste of funds on controlling a bunch of OWS tards who wouldnt be causing trouble without the police harassing them to begin with?

sorta like Ron Paul's stance on the middle east.. "if we dont bother them, they will leave us alone"

Perhaps our keepers will start to realize the financial burden of the police state mentality.
They, the police are stealing the snow fund.

See again that's Occupy ###WALL### Street mentality
If you are against the police state you don't occupy the police
once again you go to your local representative's office or washington to protest

the police are stealing the snow fund? lol
let's say that's true, then how? Who's giving them budget

OWS has to start thinking sooner or later

But if they don't do it, which I doubt they will, everyone will suffer
even those who are not for the OWS movements

I think realistically it's a loss for everyone

What?

SHOVEL YOUR OWN SNOW, LAZY!
Same to your mother.
Why do you need big government to come remove snow for you and why do I have to help pay for it?

Seriously, you are whining about the government not getting to spend enough tax dollars and do more for us?

Really? Did the OWS tell the city to waste (and how much?) money on a police presence that makes the police look like the thugs? Well then you think they should just have unlimited spending to sustain the status quo?

What good have the police done? Compare that to the cost of porta potties and showers...Hmmm Who is having mentality (and morality) issues now?

Ummm.... hello
I'm not talking about the snow on my/her steps, front lawn or backyard or even the common parking areas that are paid out of community condo fees for example

Really?

Do you not know what snow the city removes and which they don't?

As Capt. Ray Lewis said "The police commisioner works for the mayor, the mayor tells the commisionner how he wants it handled and the commisionner trickles down the orders to the white shirts who then gives the orders to cops"

So once again, don't Occupy ###WALL### Street
Occupy the mayor's office

See what i'm saying now?

Great. I did not say or hint or suggest that you were.

Really?

Yes, really.

Do you not know what snow the city removes and which they don't?

Yes I do.

What kind of response is this? It is like you had absolutely nothing to say but still had to hit reply. Basically you just asked me if I meant what I said.

YES.

Wanna try again?

No, I expect people to be consistent in their message about less government, less dependance, less spending, less taxes, being self sufficient, boot straps, yadda yadda yadda. I am not sure why I should have to chip in to plow a street because you need to go somewhere. I do not need the government to plow for me. Why so dependent on big government?

I understand the chain of command just fine dude, and I don't need a lesson on it.
I was referring to your question (I like to stay on topic) about the missing snow removal money.
More debt..and for what
/ Police power show? whoopee!

IMO the TSA costs the taxpayers money, but they are useless and a burden on society. Same deal..power show.
