Hello fellow ATS'rs, my Composition class I am taking for college this semester is requiring me to do an essay over a problem with society. It is obvious I find the lack of disclosure a very large topic that rarely is adressed and needs to be as soon as possible.

I have to find articles and sources to cite and summarize for the research essay.

My question is, (in your opinion), what claim by a whistleblower or federal official ( CIA, NSA, FBI, ect.) would you find the most compelling and believable?

I've done research regarding some of the claims from Bob Lazar, John Lear, Phil Schneider, Lou Baldin, Alex Collier, David Icke.

I know the claims from these few are very skeptical but I'm taking the claims as truth for the sake of the essay.

Also, I'd like to add, my instructor is very interested in my topic for the essay so I really want to give her some more insight on the subject because so far I am the only one in the class who even has an interest in this subject.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!

Peace and Love,

-Mrfrodo1524

While I personally don't believe in the Alien idea for UFO's, I think this could be a decent paper none the less...I'd leave out David Icke though....Keep in mind he's the guy that called himself 'The Son Of God' on a TV program, and thinks the Queen of England is a lizard-person.....He's not exactly the most credible of the bunch. To make it a bit more scholarly I'd go into some of the more mainstream evidence before you go into the more controversial stuff...Maybe talk a bit about the "WOW" signal, or the fossils allegedly found in that Martian meteorite...perhaps discuss the improbability that we are the only life in the Universe from a science standpoint...that sort of stuff. Then go into some actual accounts by people who claim to have been witness to a cover-up...but stay away from the loony ones like Icke.

Just my two cents.

Not a problem. I remember my composition class back in college and would have killed for the internet back then in the early 90s. You are sure to get an A using Isaac's research for references.

You can find more names and resource ideas in this long UFO documentary.

This is part 1 of 10. You can find the other parts on Youtube. Take notes of the names in the video and use them to look up other written material. They discuss many different aspects of Ufology. From the disclosure project, ancient alien theories, modern technology, UFO sightings, alien abduction encounters. Lot's of stuff to reference.

Awesome! Yes, this could help in so many ways. I'm in the class right now gathering sources so I will definitely watch it when I get home.

Bless you friend!
Thank you very much for the suggestion and link.

I can show you where to ask John Lear yourself if you like....

Former US intelligence chiefs would be a good starter. Check out this NY Times article. There is plenty more where that came from.

Vice Admiral R. H. Hillenkoetter (Ret.), a committee board member and former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, said in a statement that a copy of the inspector general’s warning had been sent to the Senate Science and Astronautics Committee.

“It is time for the truth to be brought out in open Congressional hearings,” he said.”

*SNIP*

The Air Force has investigated 6,132 reports of flying objects since 1947, including 183 in the last six months of 1959. The latest Air Force statement, issued a month ago said, “no physical or material evidence, not even a minute fragment of a so-called flying saucer, has ever been found.”

Admiral Hillenkoetter said that “behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about the UFO’s.”

“But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense,” the retired admiral said. He charged that “to hide the facts, the Air Force has silenced its personnel” through the issuance of a regulation.

Wow, that is exactly the kind of things I'm looking for! This will definitely help.

I sure love this website. So many helpful people.

But yes, I would love some more information if you have any links to some others. The link you wrote in your post will work perfectly as well.

Thank you so much. Your help is much appreciated!

You're welcome, there's some good stuff in that video series.

In response to Pimander's post above. ATS has a sticky thread of John Lear threads located in the Grey Area.

Index of John Lear threads on AboveTopSecret

EDIT:

I always liked some of the stuff Bill Cooper had to say about UFO's.

Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that sticky. Thank you for the bringing it up! Sometimes I forget the amount of information there really is here on this website. I've watched some of his interviews and he really has some compelling stuff he brings to the table. Very mind-blowing and very addicting.

After the first video I watched of him I was lost on the computer for days researching his information. It's great stuff.

out of all the guys you named bob lazar might be tellng the truth imo, his whole story is based on being given access to area s4 where the recovered et material is being stored, he was looked at as a propulsion specialist and et physics is so advanced that they were giving alot of different people a shot at giving their view on what they learn about it.

a good case thats not been "debunked" and has govt documents and alot of military officials involved is the rendelsham case, col. haut recently stated that he thought what they seen that night in 1980 was interdimensional or extraterrestial, the british govt released a document in which the osi investigators said ets were there at the landing, whats strange to me is that theres probably not too many people in this world that know about the case

The Lazar case is an interesting one. It might get too complicated for an essay though. You need too much background about how disinformation works.

I'd use this document for a start. The website is also full of testimony. Discussed on ATS here.

If you want to use credible stuff steer clear of anyone who makes a living from selling books or doing lectures.

If you want the truth, ignore anyone telling you to steer clear of someone for making a living. If you take that advice you wouldn't listen to scientists either!

You should always check anyones sources if you can is the answer. A typical disinfo technique used to cover up real information is to get someone who is considered a crank to talk about it. Then we ignore the information which is foolish....

I did an essay and a power point presentation a couple semesters ago on the need for disclosure also (I've since learned much more and have changed my views somewhat) But, I used some of the older books like Edward J. Ruppelt's "The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects, 1956" and also a couple of Donald Keyhoe's books "Flying Saucers:Top Secret, 1960", etc. to set the stage for the early cover-up scenario, Air Force force-fit debunking, and attitudes of the press at the time. Great way to lay some groundwork and give some history of the phenomena...also these are available free online which makes it easier when it comes to quoting and citing sources..

link to thread of a bunch of free UFO ebooks

Then moved on to Richard Dolan's "UFO's and the National Security State, 2002", and Leslie Kean's "UFO's: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record, 2010" (among others) to show the continuation of the cover-up even though the government and the alphabet companies deny any interest in the phenomena at all...

Good luck and have fun with it.............I did....

Please avoid Greer, Bassett, Stitchen, Meier, etc........

Dolan and Kean are good sources. However, some of Greer's sources are very important. Just don't pay him $2000 to meet an alien or anything.
