There should be human rights, but for humans. If a person, society, or religion practices barbaric concepts like stoning, burning at the stake, or any other form of lethal prejudice against an individual or group of people who do not follow their ideals and standards, then they are not human. They are animals, and because they have made a decision to act this way, the have made the decision to enjoy the ramifications thereof. I don't care if they say Santa Freaking Claus made the rules, its wrong, and should be corrected in the clearest ways possible. Calling for blood is easy, calling for bombing and sterilization is very, very tempting, but would be hypocritical, therefore wrong. How to deal with these backwards folk? Educate with compassion those who will learn, show them the beauty of a world without hate, and for those who will not change, for those who embrace the violence and viciousness of their habits, no matter the effort shown to them....put them on a deserted island to live out the rest of their days without being able to procreate or connect with the outside world so we can move on into a future that will be far better without them.

Yes, it sucks. Quite a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' situation. There are good folks who believe islam, just like in every religion, but those who are radicals, the ones that give religion a bad name, those are the ones who do so much damage not only to others but to the gods they pretend to serve! That is why I would do my best to change their ways...but if they refused, then, well, a life on an island beats the gas chambers or a bullet to the head. At least they could live out their lives with each other for company, and perhaps sometime before they die, find enlightenment.

Your post is the best I've read. We listen to horror stories everyday. Take religion out of the equation and you still have hate, murder, rape and disease. Put religion back in the equation, and you have hate, murder, rape and disease. We live in a messed up world where people are so stubborn, that their way of thinking, is the only way. I look at my children, and I can only hope that they will lead long, prosperous lives, where no crazy basta*d ruins it for them. There are too many crazy people on this earth.
I don't care what your religion stands for, it is not okay to take someone's life because you don't believe they are living up to your standards.

Adultery punishment in the Bible's Old and New Testaments:

Exodus 20:14 "You shall not commit adultery."

Deuteronomy 22:22 "If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die."

Leviticus 20:10 "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death."

Proverbs 6:32 "But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself." He destroys himself by being put to death as shown above.

Leviticus 21:9 "And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire." Why should only a daughter of a priest gets burnt to death if she profanes herself? Why can't this law apply to all daughters?

Deuteronomy 25:11-12 "If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity." This doesn't make any sense what so ever! Why should the woman get her hands cut off for defending her husband? It's not like she was cheating on him or anything like that!

As I recall stoning also is pretty standard fare in the Christian Bible.

People always seem to forget that BOTH Islam and Christianity have brutal "rights" histories. (Crusades.Spanish inquisition.....etc)

Take out the religious part and your left with a death sentence that SHOULD be abolished. Not based on what religion it is being practiced under but based on the fact that it IS a barbaric sentence. This video has left a bad taste in my mouth as it is truly a shock and awe attempted at bashing Islam in general.

Misoir, I understand what you're saying, and I also think many times we should stay home and tend our own garden, and leave those of others alone. If it becomes so full of weeds, it dies, then so be it.

But think about this. During WWII, do you think we and the rest of the world should have sat by and done nothing while Hitler and the third reich massacred an entire people by the thousands?

If we had (and we did) the ability to stop that genocide and suffering, should we have intervened, or should we have just left it alone?

It took a long time for the US to intervene in that, and history has sometimes judged us harshly for waiting so long. It's difficult to know when to act at times.

If this type barbaric behavior continues, it will be hard for the civilized world to continue to turn it's back to it.

Shira Law is in full swing in both those "western Countries"..!!

They are trying here in AU now too, to have a seperate Shira court established.
