If you have ever dealt with an addict you know that there will be more than hungry, scared mobs....there will be those out there who are in
withdrawl, desperate and emotionally unstable.
On the other hand, the half-life of their addiction/affliction is fairly brief. Again the number of 14 days comes up.
Most of them will have gone off the deep end, getting them or people like them hurt beyond the point of being a threat to you.
Remove the 3000+ calorie diet that most americans are fueled by, and most of the mayhem begins to abate as well. Once the water and electricity are
off for about 3 days, a lot of the "zombies" will basically begin to run down. They will only be active for a few hours a day. Once they have shot
each other for the last of the Marlboro lights and snickers at the quickie mart, they won't do much beside wander around to the places they used to
find food: Restaurants, groceries, convenience stores, pharmacies and school cafeterias.
Only the ones who work at a nursing home will realize that many inmates of the institution will expire without care, leaving the food in the
cafeteria's kitchen still in boxes.
Most of them won't think about the rail cars stopped on the railroad tracks in the warehouse district; how some of them will hold 250,000 pound of
groceries....
And the same goes with drinking water. After they drink all of the bottled water, they will start drinking out of swimming pools and drainage
ditches. Lots of scarlet fever, dysentery etc. will sweep through the streets and put an end to rioting.
