Are You Eating and Drinking Aborted Fetuses?

Do you know where mad cow disease comes from? Cows eating other cows brain and spinal cord matter. There is also a proven case of "human mad cow disease" that was passed on through humans ingesting human brain matter.

Seems odd that knowing this they would still use fetal stem cells as "artifical flavorings", but these are the same people who sell us ciggeretes and munufacture things like Oxycontin.

And even an idiot can see if the war on drugs was really to rid our countries of drugs they could do allot better. But most of us know these same shady organizations bring the heroin and coc aine into our country.

I am curious if you really read this article, and if you fully understand it.? There is no actual proof that these companies are putting "dead fetus" powder in their food. These are just allegations that makers of haven't been 'sued for libel' so it must be correct!?

They are only mentioning the case of the vitamins in order to make you emotional, and somehow think it lends credibility to this claim.

Of course. But that's not the point. We as a society have always decided when it was okay to kill people and when it wasn't -- in wars, if they are vicious, dangerous murderers, etc. We all get together an pass laws to that effect. This current society has decided that it's okay to kill unborn fetuses. The reasoning behind that decision doesn't even matter.

If you don't like it, you can either work to change those laws (good luck, they're very popular), or move somewhere that has different laws and be a part of that society. It's very simple. Either way, nobody is making you do it. That's the choice you get.

i really wish this article stated more about exactly how they use the fetus to flavor these things, until that information is divulged iwatch this thread with an ever vigilant eye, not because i trust pepsi and all those big companies but because you never know when disinfo is afoot, and the only reason im saying anything about disinfo is because they seemed to leave out THE MOST important part of their research; exactly how are the fetuses used, produced, taken, etc. until than it's literally someone just saying; "Hey! this is true!" and that doesn't sit to well with me.

well, i did some very quick research and the wiki on senomyx states nothing about exactly how they use the "fetal kidney cells 293" which could be shady or not, but after reading the wiki i am way more suspicious of senomyx rather than the pro-lifers(which was my first instict)

I've conducted some research into this and have come up with the following summary. This is actually nothing to do with stem cells. The cells in question hek 293 appear to be used as a scientific utility cell by that I mean they are used in science due to there ease of use and wide applicability to scientific study. Generally it appears they are used in the study of viruses and proteins. Therey where indeed originally derived from human embryonic kidney cells grown in tissue culture. They where discovered back in the 1970's and have been widely-used in cell biology research for many years. HEK 293 cells are very easy to grow and transfect very readily. This means two things the likely hood of the sources for hek 293 in the modern day is unlikely to be from embryonic kidney cells (these things will be grown on an industrial scale) and secondly there widespread use means that there is likely to be many products in our lives by which this cell has had a role to play ranging from food to medicine. It would appear that Senomyx have used hek 293 in there research to reverse engineer human taste receptors in order to derive products such as that in question. Susbtance 951 a chemical that is used to amplify the sweetness of sugar in foods thereby allowing the manufacture to reduce the amount of sugar used in that food. Take what you will from the above, but unfortunately science and its discoveries can at times be rather grim certainly at its discover phases. heh 293 cells may indeed have controversial beginnings but Susbtance 951 is a completely different substance whose discovery was simply aided through the use of hek 293. So in summary no Fetuses in your products, just less sugar.

Fiction:
Aborted fetal cell lines are in food products.
Fact:
They are not in the final product consumed by the public. Instead they are used in the research and development of the artificial flavor enhancers. These aborted fetal cells possess proteins that express taste receptors which produce a chemical signal that lets Senomyx researchers know they have achieved the exact flavor they are trying to develop.
So they aren't actually in our food, they are just used in the research of new flavours.
To me this doesn't seem too shocking to learn.

They aren't using them as artificial flavoring!!! They are using the fetal cells to TEST their artificial flavorings to make sure they don't have any bad effects on us before they put them in the product. They do not, I repeat, do NOT use them as artificial flavoring!
