So far its been rather tame around here as compared to the months leading up to the 2008 election.

You'd better put your hip waders on and work on thickening up your skin if you plan on making it through this next year.

I felt just like you when I joined here right before the 2008 election. Over time you just learn when and how to feed or starve the trolls. Those with bad intentions do not last long. Report what you can and move on or simply hit your ignore button. It brings instant calm. Keep your chin up!!

Is it just me, or has the political baiting on ATS become a serious issue? I see thread after thread full of posts that contain content just as described in 15g of the T&C. Often times the OP itself is nothing but an attempt to bait people into a thread created just for the sole purpose of espousing rhetoric and nonsense.

I think there should be an ATS golden rule.

"Reply to a post or thread the way you would like to be replied to."

It tells you right when you click on reply to "Please make sure every post matters."

You're right Neo. I did say that. You should know by now that I do not shy away from things and that I call it as I see it. I stand by my statement and this thread is indirectly pointed at you and those like you.

I have tried to follow such an example, and I believe I have a pretty good record on ATS for being fair, truthful and respectful. Actually, I just had my first post removed last week for being off-topic. So I think I have been real good.

I think they want a civil war where us good guys have to take the street back and get rid of this comminist scum!!....They might just get there wish though in creating a class war or civil war but when WE TAKE BACK the streets there going to be sent home

Man I totally agree with you OP.

And Mods, I DO report the troll baiting threads. And then when I come back the next day and it's still here I report it again, and again, and rarely does anything happen. I mean when the thread title reads "Atheism is just stoopid" or "liberals are brain-damaged" or "why do people believe the made-up bible" you already know what is going to happen. Why on earth is it allowed to go for 20-some pages of utter BS?

A thread about political baiting, turns into a thread of political baiting. So i guess the OP has a point. It's been good for me as it's meant i've spent less time on ATS and more time doing something constructive.
