I believe in some things which cannot be proven, but I KNOW some mythical things are highly unlikely. For example...

Three thing I believe exist: Ghosts, God, and Angels.

Three things I DO NOT believe exist: Aliens, the Easter Bunny, and "grass roots" organizations.

There are a whole lot of people out there who like the anti-greed message and truly believe it is just a bunch of like minded people. Bless their innocent hearts.

This thing did not BECOME global-- it BEGAN global.

Before it happened, I saw the facebook status updates, messages, the emails-- and the people passing those before my eyes-- I know their politics. Their affiliations, while varied, all pointed the same way.

I doubt ACORN played a major planning role; but OWS is the result of a lot of hard work behind the scenes--before and during. There will be an after, as well-- planned by the same. So, be cautious when you are enthusiastic about something that is planned but you do not know who planned it-- nor why the planners are not taking credit. Be cautious.

The argument made by the OP is valid. Stating ACORN did not start the movement is irrelevant. What matters is not how it began, but where it is going. ACORN and the unions are clearly trying to hijack for their own benefit. They have the manpower, money, and resources to do so. If this does not worry you then it should. The only thing worse than big banks in control are big unions.

Coming from Boston, MA I can tell you that big powerful unions are as corrupt as the companies they are suppose to protect workers from, every bit as corrupt.

Protest business, wall street and encourage big government.

Hmmmm, wonder where I've heard that before?

Ah yes! DNC talking points.

It's over. You're busted. The bloom is off the rose. Yadda-yadda.

You only need a couple of horses to pull a wagon...

And you only need a couple of well placed and vocally skilled people to distract, hijack, and drive a movement...

What Acorn and SEIU have been caught doing was also done to the Tea Party.... heck, that is what Hitler was paid to do to the disgruntled workers in beer halls in Germany back in the 1920s. To infiltrate and influence the National Socialist movement. Oh, and the influence and money was international back then, too.

ACORN is an international organization. They filed for bankruptcy in the US after congress defunded them but expanded overseas.

In the US they now operate under different names and have splintered to avoid tax liability.

"the main force"?

In a movie maybe. I'm pretty sure ACORN dosne't run in Canada, where over 50 major cities are holding OWS protests;and all of which have goals that do nothing for ACORN, the US, or any sort of monopoly.

And I'm also pretty sure the majority of OWS in New York are against ACORN in one way or another. If anything, they are blindly helping.

That's scary. Still haven't met them myself. Most people I know have never even heard of ACORN either. They are probably just some know-it-all Americans who could only find a following in major Canadian cities where there happen to be airheads stupid enough to follow in line with the POTUS. Around here, anyone advocating something so obviously alligned with American politicians would find themselves isolated fast.

It's not simply American politicians.

They are involved with radical leftist elements in the US.
They are still under investigation for voter fraud in my state.
They are under investigation for wire fraud and other crimes
all over the US.

It truly is a corrupt group of people.

What's wrong with the radical left?

Please explain to me what you mean when claiming "radical left"- because the typical radical left in the US means middle of the spectrum to me. You're trying to tell me that ACORN is an anarchist, or more moderately, a communist organization?

Last time I checked, ACORN was more or less a groupie political force lead by partisans from the DNC. Not dissimilar from "Putin's Army" in Russia made up of young groupies organizing political rallies around Putin.

Don't worry about the zombies showing up Jim. Give the Fukishima tradewinds a little more time to do their "thang". The zombies will materialize gradually. Niiiiice and Slowwww, they'll creep up on us.

Kinda like Acorn workers.

Movement Yes Acorn No

Keep your zombie repellent close by.

This should not be a suprise. Acorn was instrumental in getting out the vote
not only for dead people, but for comic book characters as well as other fantasy
characters. At least Mickey Mouse had a voice.

Acorn mantra should be "Vote early, Vote Often."

Talk about a stollen election.

Taking cover from all of the "Well Bush did....." Crowd.

I don't expect leftists to see what is wrong with the radical left.

So I won't be engaging in this futile exercise with you.

This is laughable. A new york firm is responsible for all the Occupy Movements around the world?

Gimme a break, this is what you call misleading information to make the masses think this is a conspiracy from the government.
Thanks for the entertainment, fox news is the equivalent to what I wipe my butt with everyday.

While ACORN surely operates around the world, it's a stretch to say they are leading the movement. There are too many people involved for any one person or group to control it. Hell the group can't even control itself.

Failed Logic...

Fox news? Really? Who is brainwashed and/or paid enough to believe their propaganda? Fox news is not a serious source of information. It's simply malicious infotainment with a probillionaire agenda. This garbage doesnt fly here. Deny ignorance and all that.

That's why I usually find other sources to corroborate what is being said by Fox news.

Believe it or not Fox is pretty truthful most of the time. But since people believe otherwise no matter what evidence is presented, I usually provide other sources to back up whatever appears first on Fox.

The Moral Liberal

The “occupying” protests here in America have been characterized as spontaneous and leaderless. Protesters, politicians, and the mass media have compared it to the so-called spontaneous uprisings of the Arab Spring. In reality, neither has been spontaneous nor leaderless. The Arab Spring was planned years ago and then executed by the forces of oppression that the people thought they were attempting to overthrow.

For years, both ACORN and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) have organized campaigns against Capitalism. On a video last March, Steve Lerner of SEIU spoke of a scheme to destroy the stock market, destabilize our nation, and redistribute its wealth. About the same time, ACORN’s founder Wade Rathke also called for massive “Day of Rage” protests that would target bankers. Both men are allied and close to President Obama.

ACORN filed for bankruptcy after it was exposed for a variety of criminal activities, but over the years, it has spawned front groups across our nation, most notably the Working Families Party, which helped organize “Occupy Wall Street.” WFP’s Nelini Stamp has been a regular at the site since day one.

So there ya have it.
