Or maybe those countries don't want to risk nuclear warfare for the sake of humanities future? US politicians have shown time and time again that they don't care about humans. We're all one species, it doesn't matter what country we're from. Any man who willingly hurts another man is a poor example of humanity.

Well if the Brits do attack, that'll be something. I've heard only of Israel's rumblings, so I wouldn't be surprised if they struck first. But Britain?

Did you bother to read the actual Guardian report?

www.guardian.co.uk...

The UK contrary to the Haretz headline......is NOT "preparing" an attack on Iran.

It is merely stepping up it's contingency plans.........in the case of any potential attack on Iran by the US.

Key words being "contingency plans" and "potential attack".

So if a conflict began between Iran and US/UK, you think nuclear weapons would be involved?

Of course not!

China and Russia will loudly protest against any strike just as they did before with Iraq.........but they won't get involved millitarily..........that's only a reality for excited school boys who have little knowledge of history or warfare.

The reality is......If a an airstike comes..........it will be fairly surgical from the air..........unlikely any boots will be on the ground.
Iran will protest as the missiles and bombs fall........but other than threaten terrorist activities on the West.....Iran won't have much to fight the West with.

Well Iran is developing nuclear technologies, and those are probably the sites that they would target. So Nuclear explosions would occur in that scenario.

Conventional Air to Ground won't set off any nuclear warheads. Radiation from destroyed warheads is another matter.
I hope this all just cools down. A lot more technology would be used in a surgical strike in this day... and most of it flown by pilots in control rooms on the other side of the world. Very scary, and if Iran knew what they were in for, I would hope they would back down.

Iran is ABUNDANT in resources. Its among the top three countries for oil and natural gas. And they just have been VERY stubborn NOT to share it with the rest of the corrupt Western bullies.

HA!

Let me tell you one thing, if the US decides to attack Iran, Turkey, will not sit by and let it happen.

Mark my words.

If I know one thing about the Turkish PM and his government, they do not at all support this, and if they have to pick sides, I know they will either stay neutral or support Iran.

Id literally bet my life they wouldn't touch it with a barge pole

Iran cannot be trusted with nukes, not with the terrorist organization they fund & support, the potential for one of them getting into the wrong hands is to much of a risk,

Iran have been actively supporting and funding terrorist activity for years, its not like the UK/ISRAEL/US just thought lets bomb Iran for the fun of it, its been going on for many years they are just growing incredibly tired of a pain in the arse, Iran are the problem, with out there meddling there maybe some kind of peace in the middle east, Iran will never accept an Israeli state, ever.. they offer money to jihadist group to launch rockets into heavily populated citys full of civilians, they fund Hezbullah, they supply weapons to the Taliban, and so many other things

to many sympathetic people in here they're really not as innocent as most of you misinformed [snip] think

Do i support an attack on Iran, yes. reset there nuclear aspirations in one swift strike,

Do i support boots on the ground and all out war? absolutely not,

Peace in the middle east. Has that ever actually existed? This Iran talks been going on for over a decade. It's played out and Iran just trolls us in response with ridiculous news hoaxes.

The great irony is though tha Saddam's Iraq was the buffer state which the West supported to keep Iran in check.
So what does Bush and his ever so bright necon pals headed by Cheney do?

Yep they get rid of Saddam and his buffer state and that's why the West is now so bothered by Iran.
It's like Bush playing chess.........he sacrificed his rook.........but didn't really know why he did it or how it affects the outcome of the game.

Where do you think all of the countries with nukes got that technology? The US, USSR, allies, etc. They leaked it all over the place. North Korea has nukes. Iran, so what it is inevitable. Eventually every nation will be able to make a weapon like this. We opened Pandora's box and it's not going to close anytime soon.

This from Sky News

Isreael Threatens to strike Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is supposedly trying to persuade his Cabinet to authorise an attack on Iran's suspected nuclear weapons programme.

The news was revealed by a government official who refused to be identified.

OK it's Sky news, so take with great big fistfuls of salt. Especially when it is filled with caveats like "supposedly" and "refused to be identified".

LOL Another war because of the U.S.? Oh please.. Australia didn't send troops to Iraq.. the UK chose to go. Secondly.. it was the UK and France that were drumming up support for Libya.. when U.S. politicians were not getting involved it was the UK pushing for intervention.

Not that any of this matters because we know the governments aren't controlled by the people or the politicians.. Apparently you don't though. How adorable

All we hear about is how everyone is planning an attack on Iran. Yet Iran remains silent.

What purpose does it serve to let the entire world know, via the hundreds of propaganda reports over the past week, that we are planning to strike them? Why would you alert an enemy like this? This is troubling to me. But I am far from an expert.

We are stoking a silent dragon.

yes there very well could be if Iran accepts the state of Israel like the rest of the middle eastern country's, but instead they opt to fan the flame and fund attacks on the Israelis, the Israelis are just defending themselves for god sake, if someone kept throwing stone at my windows i wouldn't want them to have a brick to throw,

The US is just protecting Israel, you can bet everything you own that if America should fall, Israel will be attacked from all sides, why do you think the US fund the Eygiption army billions a year, its to have control & relations with an old enemy of Israel and to stop them ever attacking Israel every again, ohh yeah thats a really evil thing to do huh? there basically paying someone to not punch someone in the face again, Syria certainly won't do it again on there own, and Iran wont do it because the west will jump on them

So how now? yes fund terrorists to do the dirty work, they have been caught red handed hundred of times doing it, nobody else in the region is, they accept Israel as a state

The worst thing about it is is were so close to peace in the middle east, Iran is the last problem to solve, AND NOBODY CAN SEE IT!!! that is what's really sad to see,

As i said before, Iran is the problem, there would be peace if Iran stops its behind the scene meddling in all the terrorist activity ripping the middle east apart, the NWO wont stop at anything until the world is united, and its differences sorted out, its the END GAME for mankind, we can't keep fighting in the playground like this over nothing the teacher needs to step in and break them apart and teach them how to play nice, the quicker we can achieve this goal the less people die in the years to come IMO, time is running out, we need to get off this rock together, there is not enough to go around, and the population is increasing every single day, just look at all the resources out there we could all share if we would just stop fighting over peanuts

Its absolutely nonsensical to stay divided and fighting each other over scraps, its a joke and it is being held back by these idiot still living in the stone age,

What would be ironic is that it would be Obama ordering the attack on iran and it was liberals attacking McCain on the bomb bomb iran joke and it would have been obama not mccain.

Because they are defenceless against such a strike,so it doesn't really matter what they know its a warning, a warning to stop its nuclear programmes that are no doubt being what develope daily.., the west does not want to attack or put boots on the ground in Iran, the west wouldn't want to intentional harm any Iranian just as it never intentionally wanted to harm any civilian in Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya, but they are a threat to world peace and innocent civilians on our home soil. its something we, like Israel are forced to do, sadly

Do you honestly honestly believe Israel would fund terrorist to attacks civilians on Iranian soil? does the west fund terrorist extremists to bomb civilians in the middle east? wake up
