Good guess. We're getting creamed... slashdot-level traffic, but nothing from one-specific source, just lots and lots of guests. BUT THIS LINK IS ALWYS AVAILABLE www.abovetopsecret.com... "recent posts" in the menu bar tab at the top.

Is it also been removed to spread out the posts? i.e to stop huge posting in one thread

We're currently running at 4x our typical load for this time of day. It's too soon to tell why or where the traffic is coming from. In running a quick check of which db queries take the longest to run (thereby slowing the site down for everyone), the query to pull the most recently active top 20 threads for the board home page was showing up pretty often -- the only one that repeated in a list of 20 slowest queries (repeated 5 times). So... it's disabled for now... in addition to the BTS recent posts listed on this page: www.abovetopsecret.com...
