I think that its to reduce server strain during this high period of activity. But thats just my guess. I could be wrong.

crispexi pointed out to me in chat that there is a 'recent posts' tab on the upper toolbar.. but i liked the side one more cuz it was more convientent...

Mine is no more as well. I use that feature a lot, so I hope it comes back...someone (Moderators, etc.) please fix it, or explain why it is gone?

If it is gone forever, we will adjust.

It might take some getting used to but you may see other threads that have been posted and not replied to, it could be a good thing in the long run. Just have to suck it up and live with it
