Do you have to take/accept the mark of the beast or can you be fooled into it?

off topic (well may be not really), but I made a good dub track. I wish you could all hear it. It has Haile Selassie at the beginning and The Hymn of The Republic at the end. Killed for two reasons....1. the word of his testimony and
2. had not received worshiped the image/beast or received his mark
this is a clear indicator that those who are still alive in Revelation 20 have managed to either evade, or refuse the mark. but they still provide testimony which also causes them to stand out as a target by the beast.
clearly the mark being caused happens through deceit, and not all will be deceived.


Revelations 20:4
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had notreceived his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

I dont think you can be fooled or tricked into it-you will have to take it willingly and swear allegience to the antichrist-those who refuse will be killed. Once you accept the mark of the beast you cant take it back.

I guess this is on and off topic, I don't want to get too far off topic so this will be my last comment here.

I don't preach, I very gently suggest. I am never the first one to strike up the conversation, I wait patiently to slip in a few interesting comments here and there, get people interested... or angry... then hit em with it I don't care who believes what, I don't care what they call it... as long as they belive in something.

I sometimes wonder why people don't just automatically feel it. I have, all my life. Do I have a God complex? yeah sure, sometimes. But that's ok because I'm kidding myself if I think I'm hiding something. God made me with the good stuff and the bad stuff. It's not like my Creator doesn't already know me better than I know myself.

Anyway.... if an individual is struggling with picking a side all they have to do is look inward for the truth, and it shall set them free

To accept the mark means you will have no chance of salvation. The LORD will wash His Hands of you. Your reward will be the wages of sin that is death. You will be a worshipper of The Anti Christ with his mark upon you. If you don't take the mark then you will not be in danger from The Wrath of Almighty GOD. You will see eternal life and will see Him who we pierced, Jesus Christ, The Son of The Most High. However, you will no longer be allowed to buy or sell anything in this system of things and it will be very difficult to live an earthly life, even many may be executed because they refuse this mark and refuse to worship the beast or his image.

Our choice! I pray for us all who do not take the mark, who will not worship the beast or his image

But where does it say that a choice in involved. I read that chapter and a choice wasn't mentioned. As people of faith we assume that we have a choice. But what if we are captured and given the mark. The bible is just one sided on the topic. If you receive the mark, by whatever means, you are doomed?

It says the beast will behead those who refuse the mark. If people will "refuse" it that means there will be a choice.

You have to look at the context, if you read the entire chapter (link) it becomes clear that it's not just a matter of taking a mark, but rather the people who take the mark are already worshipping the beast and the beast's image (possible a statue of some kind). Those who refuse to worship the beast's "image" will be killed before the mark is even implemented. It's also mentioned in Rev 14 in the description of the 3 angels that will fly through the skies proclaiming warnings. The 3rd angel warns about this:

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Notice that here again the warning isn't just about the mark, but about worshipping the beast and his image in conjunction with taking the mark. So the mark isn't something that people will be tricked into, it's part of an overt act of defying God and worshipping the beast instead. Those who worship the beast and accept the mark will know exactly what they are doing and they will do it voluntarily.


Wow.. This thread has been very enlightening. I pose another question. If you have a choice in receiving the mark, what about children? Since children are innocent born, would they just kill them. maybe in satanic rituals?

The 'choice' ,I believe, lies in those of us who actually KNOW what to look for regarding such a development. . Since we have such deep convictions that a mark WILL be implemented in the future, we are already anticipating (and maybe dreading) the day we are able to see the beast for what it is and his mark for what it means. So many people will not accept the shocking news of the beasts identity and might even laugh it off as nonsense. The choice for us will be choosing to maybe starve, be tortured, or just executed INSTEAD of receiving the mark so many would already have.

The RFID chip is the perfect example of how the mark will deceive unsuspecting victims. Yes, it already is a reality in medicine. They're using these chips to track medical histories right now. Twenty years ago, the computer you're on, the cell phones you use, the technology we have was something out of science fiction. Nowadays the "chip" is what technology has boiled down to. And the tinier the chip the more powerful it is. Who among us only uses cash these days? Nobody, right? You need a credit or debit card to buy online. In the USA we still use the swipe type cards, but in most of the world they use a chip on the cards instead. We'll be a cashless society soon enough, thereby paving the groundwork for the installation of a chip. Your pay will be directly deposited to this chip. We already Microchip our pets for protection. Isn't is safe to say the next form of "protection" will be the Radio Frequency Identification Chip...RFID ?

Wow. I learned so much in this site.

But, I wonder how many of us would be willing to sacrifice our children if we don't accept it. I told my wife this, that if it came down to losing my son or receiving the mark, I would have to lose my son. We would meet up in God's kingdom. My wife would probably accept the mark to protect him. There are no excuses of how you get the mark. I just wish my wife was close to God. What would you guys do with the choice? Just think how bad it would be if torture of your child was happening. I am about to tear up just thinking about that.

Who do you do your good works for in this life?
