If OWS wants to survive,as the cause for the people, they would have to tell ALL political parties to get out.

That's exactly what we did at our local Occupy meetings. We refused the help of any union, political party and moveon.org.

Just because someone else supports Occupy does not mean they support them. Is it that hard to understand?

Thats great for your "LOCAL" movement. Unfortunately, NY is the one EVERYONE is following. In NY,its a different beast. Its the One that really control's all the other ones. They follow their lead. Did Michael Moore show up to your local movement? Was he greeted like a 99%?

If thats how you feel you should branch away from OWS and create a different movement.

Please do Sheep!

If its not a movement that wont be co-oped,you would garner support.

You need a movement, that cant be BOUGHT.

I wish the TP never would have sold out. I was a huge supporter until it was sold to the Republicans.

Thanks for the star. I'll share the sentiment.

We revert back to the original statements under the constitution in which the banks, money and corporations were put into check and could not exist unless they served the good of the people. We have the infrastructure in place, but it has been co-opted by big money. THAT is why they are protesting.

I want my capitalism back!

You know what man, moore may want to define him self as the 99 percent, which is absolutly flawed because of his politcal motivations in doing so. He is not, he wants to be a figure head. A elitist of the group i think he's nothing more than, the wanna be presidents that represent puppets these days. This movement is not about politcal agenda or atleast should not be about. Everybodys WRONG thats why they are standing up, because they dont want to be apart of EVERYBODY. They personally want to be the individual representing freedom, and together they can change the politcally motivated, the finicially motivated. which in all honesty are one in the same. Which is the point! stand up or shut up

You really can't get them out because they created the movement. As other people said, start your own movement and see what happens.

The OWS organizers/funders and the administration will try to discredit any movement that they have no control over.

But aren't you doing the same thing? You are trying to discredit the movement because there may be some elements trying to control it that you disagree with, right?

So are you any better?

I agree NEO. The movement is flawed, just like the people, but it is still a movement by the people. We should set our differences aside and support the movement and then compromise on how to deal with the obvious problems.

My 2cents...

There is a difference between someone making money selling a product, art, or whatever they produce, and someone who owns the means to produce.

The problem with the 1% is they not only make money from the products they produce, but they own the means to manufacture and distribute those products/resources. They monopolize the means and control the production, and distribution of resources in order to maintain high profits.

Micheal More is forcing no one to buy his movies, but the 1% are forcing you to work for a wage while they reap mass wealth from the profits of your labour.

Being a socialist does not mean you have live in poverty, and give your money away. In fact the more wealthy socialist there are the more chance for change, because in this system it takes wealth to be taken seriously.

We want a change in the economic system, not a handout.

That is all I am trying to hit home but it's not working. Apparently they are so war thirsty that they forgot their humanity. Who knows?

If you see us as flawed then go down to your local event and speak your peace.

What flaws are you seeing? Tuesday I return to Zuccotti and tomorrow go back to Jersey City!

And so do you, but we got to support each other against our enemies. We can work out the small details but we need to make sure there is something to work on first!

We've had our share of socialism.

We don't want any more.

Why is it people accept capitalism and make excuses for all its problems, but expect perfection and all the answers to even consider an alternative?

No system will ever be perfect, Humans are not perfect. Systems can only be more, or less, fair in its distribution of resources and personal freedoms.

I can agree, but I think we may have made some progress here with those who disagree. We all have similar goals, but disagree on how to get there.

Sorry the evil rich are making the bulk of their cash off interest not physical labor except when it's off in China what people seem to be forgetting these days and what they do is they put their money to work for them via investment and offshore.

The only reason Wall Street is doing as well as they are is because they have broken the chains of the US Federal Government.
