I suppose we can now only watch and see what happens, while the authorities decide what 'really' happened, who killed him, NATO strike and died of his wounds, or executed while a prisoner + abusement of the corpse, does anybody see the hand of God here? I don't... I do see confusion, and in the midst of all the technology, a few crappy, gory 'phone pictures. Sure Gaddafi was a bad man we all know that don't we?. Osama was captured by professionals, not by a mob. That the difference isn't clear to you only speaks to your ability to parse the difference.

Are you suggesting that the world had it all wrong with Gadaffi? Do you believe that Gadaffi was a good man? Do you believe he should still be in power today?

It was U.S. intelligence and credible sources that provided the coordinates of Gaddafi's convoy to NATO, and a NATO airstrike that made him available to the rebels.

Letting the people of Lybia do the actual killing was a preferable end.

After the drone strikes on Gaddafi's convoy, he and others scattered fearing more strikes, they sought out hiding places, including a sewer pipe for Gaddifi himself... Operatives among the rebels were provided his location and he was captured, beaten, ultimately shot in the head and dragged through the streets.

But of course, which story you believe is entirely up to you.

Now that the country has achieved it goal, what will they do next? All those solders who took up arms to forcefully eliminate their barriers... will they be willing to put them down for unemployment? I think not, they will be hired as armed thugs to ensure dominance in the country with foreign finances, just as Egypt's military is giving it's country the democracy it demanded and are enjoying, not.

Much as I come down on the side of he was a criminal I've just caught 10 mins of BBC and Sky News coverage here in the UK.

I find it absolutely disgusting how another Human Being was treated, regardless of the crimes he committed.

I am even more disgusted by the gloating and laughing manner that David Cameron and Hilary Clinton reacted to news of his death. I will be sending an email to David Cameron with my thoughts.

Gaddafi had to go along with other dictators... you already know who they are... And others now in the cross-hairs.

The radical islamic groups are a means to a contrived end for them... Keep in mind these groups are completely infiltrated and controlled by western operatives... A much better prospect for the future than the former dictator.

Serious problems for the west will arise in Syria and even more so in Iran.

Those steps in the "global" war on terror plan will be the most dangerous and costly of all.

You have to ask yourself, who the real monster here ?

That account seems to tie up with the images and video I have seen on the news.........although I don't think the new leaders of Libya want people to know about Ghadaffi being beaten up and his body paraded around town by his ankles........someone probably has footage somewhere that might leak out eventually.

As for monsters.......yes it was a barbaric end for the man.......but then again this was still a rag tag ill disciplined bunch of rebels with bloody revenge on their minds.......so unless Nato captured Ghadafi first.....it was always likely to end this bloody way

He may not have been beaten. He did escape out of a bombed convoy. That'd be enough to end up looking like that. Be careful. They like to plant wrong information amoungst the information that they want to sink.

Unless the convoy attack was done without the intent to kill Gaddafi, targeting of vehicles he was not in, forcing him and bodyguards to flee ALIVE, where the eyes in the sky could pinpoint his location and then alert rebel operatives to his location.... Where he could be captured, beaten and eventually killed. (By the people of Libya) Not the "great satan".
