Yes. I've been warning about the resurgence of eugenics since I joined ATS in 2004. Here are a few quick picks of my old posts on the topic.



You are right that the word "eugenics" fell into disfavor when people learned that Hitler used US laws and Holmes' Supreme Court Judgment almost verbatim to craft legislation for Nazi Eugenics Laws and the concentration camps.

But the main ideas underlying eugenics never went away - that is, that the human species can be "improved" by educated scientific and social "interventions." Eugenics is NOT "fringe science" today - far from it.

Following WWII, eugenics' apologists re-focused on the differences between "positive" and "negative" eugenics policies, but remained committed to the idea that the human gene pool could -and should- be manipulated. …In the interim, an old word euthenics was popularized to distinguish between "positive-social eugenics" policies and "positive scientific eugenic/genetic" interventions.

"Blaming the victims" for having symptoms of epidemic infectious disease is leading us back to Eugenics programs and legislation. Not long ago, US Eugenics laws targeted the "unfit" for sterilization, incarceration and "mercy killing."



"It is better for all the world if, instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime, or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind... " Mr Justice Holmes's closing remark contained no consolatory words for Carrie Buck, the 20-year-old unmarried mother sitting abjectly in the US Supreme Court.

...Carrie perfectly fitted the law's description of a "probable parent of socially inadequate offspring". ...the highest court in the land shared the opinion of the Virginia Colony, Carrie Buck would be forcibly sterilised.

There is a strong political movement in the USA arguing that the nation should re-instate the Eugenics laws that Mr. Justice Holmes upheld in the 1926 Supreme Court. Public support seems broad, but many people do not understand they're supporting Eugenics when they agree to "Personal Responsibility in Health." Nor do they know that most of the targets suffer from infectious prion-related diseases. Or that obesity is only one "flaw" on the target list.





…Sounds a lot like the rhetoric that justified the Eugenics policies of the early 1900's - and the imprisonments and sterilizations, not to mention Hitler's camps. ….Eugenics policies are definitely back, but now they're camouflaged, called "genetic" or "age-related."

1. Prions are infectious misfolded proteins. There is NO doubt that a protein's shape determines its function and effect. It's very basic stuff.

So there really is no question that protein misfolding "problems" underlie most chronic disease, or NCDs. The lists pasted in my previous post are just the tip of the iceberg.

….We know prions are created when proteins' environments are "perturbed." Numerous conditions can interefere with normal protein folding, and lead to disease-causing misfolded proteins. However, the earliest, most studied and best proved environmental perturbations that create prions include elevated temperatures, oxidative stress, and heavy metals (Lindquist 1986; Lindquist and Craig 1988).

It is well-known that numerous industrial activities: 1) expose normal proteins to elevated temperatures, oxidative stress, and heavy metals; 2) create misfolded proteins, which can become infectious prions; and 3) cause disease. Not the least of these are drug and vaccine manufacturing and as well, food processing. In addition, prion diseases cross species barriers, and infect humans. Moreover, prions are present in bodily fluids and excretions, and therefor, also present in our water supplies, not just blood products and body parts. All old news, but more recently Aguzzi proved prions also can be airborne.

So - we are exposed routinely to already-created prions in our food, water and possibly, air - not to mention our medical care.

We all know pollution and industrial contaminants hurt us - misfolded proteins are just the mechanism. That aside, the real problem here is this:

Chronic disease is now pandemic - the leading cause of death globally, killing more people each year than all other causes combined. One third of these deaths occur in people under 60. Chronic disease fatalities are rising rapidly in poorer nations; in the richer countries, costs are soaring to maintain survivors. Officially called "noncommunicable diseases" (NCDs), the main four are cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes and chronic lung diseases. The World Economic Forum (WEF) adds mental illness to the list, reporting that mental health, "typically left off lists of leading NCDs, will account for $16 trillion - a third of the overall $47 trillion anticipated costs." The WEF states unequivocally, "This is not a health issue, this is an economic issue."

...and because most nations dance for the WEF, governments are pulling supports to the chronically ill. Granted, global corporations should be picking up the tab, but they're not. And poor sick people can't.

...So where does that leave humanity? Are we all fated to become non-human psychopathic corporate "persons"?

The "blame the victims" strategy continues, along with the lies. "They want to still get all of the benefits and promises they had when the life expectancy was 10 or 15 years shorter," says Constance Hunter, chief economist at Aladdin Capital Holdings. Bullcrap.

Life expectancy today is falling - adults today are becoming debilitated and disabled decades before their parents did - and kids today are the first generation with shorter life expectancies than their parents.

The truth is, all the chemicals in our water and soil, all the air pollution, all the contaminants in our food - are making us all really, really sick - and they're disabling people at younger and younger ages. The problem is, industrial pollution and contamination are not killing enough people outright. And survivors need benefits. So Hunter and cronies want to pull the plug.

Our corporate leaders want to save the corporate economy, and lose the "useless eaters" they created. The WEF presented its economic analysis of the chronic disease pandemic to the UN Summit in September - and ignored the issue at the Cannes G20 Summit in November. Our corporate leaders have spoken.


If Rome burns, U.S. will feel the heat

Aside from the immediate impact on the U.S., the widening European debt debacle may be a harbinger of what lies ahead for politicians in Washington. The wider issue for the governments of all developed countries is the rising cost of paying for social programs created a generation ago. From Japan to Europe to the U.S., those programs are becoming increasingly unsustainable as life expectancies continue to rise for new retirees.

“The great thing is they are getting to live longer, and it's great to live longer, but it's not free,” said Constance Hunter, chief economist at Aladdin Capital Holdings. “But everybody wants it to be free. Uh huh. And the core truth is that industrial activities disable people in the prime of their lives.


The life expectancy myth

….fossil studies reveal that about 10 percent of humans who lived before the Agricultural Revolution made it past the age of 60. If it were not for homicide, many more would have lived that long.



….Noted aging researchers Leonid Gavrilov and Natalia Gavrilova looked at over 6,000 women born into European aristocracy in the 1800s and found that those that survived to age 30 lived until their mid-60's (born in the early 1800s) to almost 80 (later in the 1800s).

A sampling of Cape Cod gravestones of the early 1700s finds many marking the final resting place of people who died in their sixties, seventies, or even eighties. Of those who died past the age of twenty, 20 of 58 died in their seventies or eighties (the average age at death for this group was 58). The poor, of course, could not afford a stone marker ... but again we see plenty of people living to 60+.

….So living past 60 was not unusual.

Non-Communicable Diseases: Will industry influence derail UN summit?

In the run up to the UN summit on non-communicable diseases, there are fears that industry interests might be trumping evidence based public health interventions.



....Led by the “big four” – cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and chronic lung diseases – NCDs caused 36 million deaths, or about two-thirds of the global total, in 2008. A joint study by Harvard Public Health and the World Economic Forum estimates that NCDs will cost $47-trillion from 2010 to 2030.

…..The NCD pandemic is not caused by an identifiable virus but from the same technological and economic progress that has enabled major population growth and helped address significant health problems of the past. These problems are now overshooting the limits of human biology, as the NCD pandemic is spreading faster among the poor than the rich.

Governments Follow Corporate Advice, Offload Responsibility Onto Victims

The two leaders acknowledged the work of Commonwealth Health Ministers to promote the outcomes of the United Nations High Level Meeting on non‑communicable diseases (NCDs) and the leading role played by members of the Caribbean Community in driving global momentum and action to address NCDs. The Prime Ministers recognized that governments must continue to emphasise strategies aimed at the individual, the family and the community in order to prevent and control rising rates of NCDs.


In Cannes, the G20's focus was on Greece. Now Italy is floundering too. The Big Boyz won't use their own cash to bailout the system - they want nations and citizens indentured. So don't expect contributions from the IMF, WEF or Bank of International Settlements - they're the vultures. And as far as they're concerned, everything is going according to plan.

The choices are simple:

Bailout the corporate economy, or build a new one that respects people.




Kill the people to save the corporations, or kill the corporations to save the people.
