Of course they'd land in the USA... you don't go to a small cafe in India to find the leader of the free world, now do you?
Seriously though, just as movies and shows made in England are SET in England...well, there you go...American movies and shows will be SET in America!
I know, it's pretty weird...but you know these Hollywood types...

Preposterous, nothing cool happens outside the USA.
A space faring race would be smart enough to know to land on the White House lawn and ask our President how they should proceed.

Blah blah blah I stopped reading this thread half way thru. If Aliens came they should just destroy us all because we are prejudice and make it impossible to be cooperative on a global level. Ironically an invasion would be one of few world wide catastrophes that would bring us together in a common goal until then we continue to bash each other on a national level rather then judging the people themselves. America is a place people live in just like China is a place people live in it does not mean they are a collective that all think and act the same or that they agree with every action taken by their government.edit on 19-10-2011 by g0dhims3lf because: (no reason given)

OH...PLEASE! We end up going to war and you are complaining about DEPLEATED URANIUM? The U.S. Military goes though hell and high water to prevent civilian losses....more so than any Military or country in the HISTORY OF WARFARE! Do you honestly think that any other country would be so concerned? The U.S. were ISOLATIONISTS after WWII and had no desire to get involved in ANOTHER WAR in EUROPE or ASIA....but our hands were forced. NOW....because of this....the UNITED STATES MILITARY is at such a level of advancement as well as having experienced hardened troops....that we get alot of other countries WHINNING about the big bad empire that is now the U.S.
You are so much out of this world dude, first, learn to quote, basics really.
There's not a drop a truth in what you wrote, back it up with something if you so sure. I gave you facts, you give me nothing but your fabled believes, which propably you even learned somewhere. Isolationism after WWII, think you mixing up the years there, this term wasn't even in use since Roosevelt. Get this. US military propably killed biggest number of civilians combined from all the countries in the world. Try to understand, I'm not accusing you, or anybody else from your nation for being a murderer, but that's the truth. Learn to accept it. If Americans were aware of their modern history, Ron Paul already would be a president in past years.
MILLIONS DEAD! Then talk to me how the U.S, Military is abusing it's power.
You just answered yourself in sentence before the question , you even did it in capitals and put exclamation mark, which btw you tend to use it in make-believe style.
But this is seriously offtopic already, we can continue this on prv msg if ya wish.

You made an excellent point about America and its desire to remain Isolated pre-WWII. People like to rant about the United States' global influence, but it pales in comparison to the British Empire's policy of Imperialism and Coloninsation the 16th, 17th, & 18th centuries. It wasn't until 1941 that the U.S. entered the war, ensuring Britain's and the rest of Europe's survival.

Sorry all I can say about that is bull. The U.S broke the stalemate but it didn't win the war on its own or save the world. Seriously it's this kind of unresearched self opinionated statements which is the general cause of American bashing. And I've got to tell you split that as a result of reading other outlandiish claims you've made you really don't know alot about the topic at all.

You are assuming that I implied that America saved the world by entering the war. I did not. I don't think anyone can argue against that America's entrance in the war helped ensure victory for Allied forces,
