What if aliens landed..and it was'nt USA.

Blah blah blah I stopped reading this thread half way thru. If Aliens came they should just destroy us all because we are prejudice and make it impossible to be cooperative on a global level. Ironically an invasion would be one of few world wide catastrophes that would bring us together in a common goal until then we continue to bash each other on a national level rather then judging the people themselves. America is a place people live in just like China is a place people live in it does not mean they are a collective that all think and act the same or that they agree with every action taken by their government.

It's just marketing, man. The US spends more on entertainment than most nations. We like to see people we can best relate with in the crisis of the moment. Also, we see more aliens than any other country, though the reasons are obviously up for debate (not looking to pick a fight about which country's yokels are dumber).

Why would it be Ironic? In fact the unification of a country in time of major conflict is the norm. State's wear war paint in times of sport and such and see it as us and them. Towns and schools do it as well. So if aliens threatend earth it would be a natural human proccess of rthe countries to unify for the duration of the conflict.

MY BAD! I mistyped and it was supposed to read that the U.S. was very much ISOLATIONISTS BEFORE WWII. But I am surprised that you did not see this as a mistake by me.

To my knowledge....and if anyone wan't to chime in here...I don't mind....I have never posted anything that cannot be verified in U.S. Govermental or Agencies of....files....whether these files were at one time hidden or classified is not the point. The point is....if I am talking about it....there is a way to verify it...and I think I have done my best to tell people where to look....and if anyone still does not know where to find something that would verify one of my posts....I would be more than happy to show them where to look.

This is kind of funny to me....I made...in my eyes....and I think the eyes of the majority of people here who have read my posts....a small mistake....one that was very obviously a mistake....since using as reference my fairly vast knowledge of U.S. Military resourses....that I have mentioned from time to time on many a post......IT WOULD SEEM REDICULOUS for me to believe that the United States became ISOLATIONISTS after WWII.

You're right that the U.S did help ensure victory and I'm the first to stick up for it when some unresearched people claim different. But there's to many American go on about the U.S saving the world. I myslef lived in the U.S for two years and the amount of times I got "when we saved you guys" Mind you those same people thought the war started in 1941 as well and Henry Ford invented the car.

I tend to see a trend where some posters....at ANY opportunity....will spare no effort to swipe at the contributions made by the UNITED STATES in just about any subject....ESPECIALLY when it comes to wars or these posters feelings of necessity to take down a peg....what they see as AMERICAN ARROGANCE.

As far as what happened and the results of WWII are concerned...these next statements are undeniable.

1. The United States became a SUPER POWER both Militarily and Economicly as well as also being a Nuclear Power.

2. Since the U.S. had no intention of fighting another European war soon either because of a resurgent Germany or a now powerful CCCP as well as wanting to keep Japan in check....a permanent state of World Wide Military bases of all U.S. Forces and permanent Naval Carrier group deployments and rotational systems was instituted.

3. It was understood that this would create resentment of American Military Strength and Prowess....but since the Soviets were dedicated toward a plan of reaching a WARM WEATHER SEA PORT as well as a long term plan of eventually occcupying Saudi Arabia and Iran....peoples FEELINGS were low on the priority list.

4. NAZI scientists and experimentation as well as aquisition of as many German Scientists and Engineers....was a priority....V-2's and WERNER VON BRAUN were prizes that America had a vast advantage in attracting their services of over the Soviets.

And for any of you out there who are under any delusions that the WWII could have been won without the participation of the United States....GET A CLUE! The UK's lifeline was U.S. Liberty Ships and without a second front...the Soviets would have folded like a deck of cards. The Russians had a GREAT TANK...but without constant bombing of production sites in Germany and other secret factories that American Bombers continually destroyed as fast as they were rebuilt....the NAZI's would have marched right into Moskow.

Also....remember....MASSIVE QUANTITIES of all sorts of supplies and raw materials were shipped by sea, air and land from the United States to the UK....the Soviet Union....FRANCE....when they finally decieded to stop being a door mat....and a host of other countries.

The biggest travesty was allowing the Soviets to build the Berlin Wall and the deals that allowed Soviet control over vast areas of Eastern Europe was DECRIED by American General PATTON. He said....and I believe correctly...." Why the Hell are we giving the Russians ANYTHING?" "WE are the ones holding ALL THE CARDS!" "They should be KISSING OUR ASSES because we waited for them to catch up so we could all enter BERLIN TOGETHER!"

Patton had told IKE that he could have invaded BERLIN 3 weeks previous....but waiting was a political move....a move that Patton felt was unfounded since the Soviets had broke SEVERAL SECRET AGREEMENTS as were concerned with the KURIL ISLANDS....that the Japanese had taken over years ago..

And LETS ALL NOT FORGET....HITLER AND STALIN had a treaty that if ever carried out....led to the eventual division of CHINA and ALASKA. Split Infinity
