There`s a local Occupy protest in my city here in Vancouver, attending it in a few hours.

This just keeps getting bigger and bigger, world wide. Spreading through Europe and Asia as well.

Great to see.

and they are getting violent in Rome!! As Rome burns once again, who will be watching from afar playing the violin?

Just keep pushing. Don't complain when the legal authority pushes back. The spineless Bloomberg will have to answer to his constituents that are being held hostage in their own city.

6:45 p.m. Police have trapped people in times square with barricades.

6:35 p.m. A horse just went down. Crowd is going wild. NYPD says anyone near barricade is going to jail. This is is inexcusable. (Source)

6:22 p.m. Police on horseback arrive. Police pulling people out of crowd and attacking them. Protesters are rushing barricades.

So the protesters are rushing barricades counter a lawful order by police for the safety of everyone(not just the protesters) and when the cops have to respond with force to keep them under control it will be called police brutality.

You have the right in this country to PEACEABLY assemble.

Rushing police lines and getting aggressive with police is not PEACEABLE ASSEMBLY.

If you're aggressive with the police don't be surprised when they are aggressive with you.

I see you have a real distaste for real freedom and democracy. We have the right to a lot of other things other than peaceful assembly. It is time for things to change, this is a step in the right direction. You don't like it move to Russia.

In my opinion the police should be protesting WITH the protesters, not enforcing the corrupt system's stranglehold on humanity.

The fact that these police even consider rounding up people like cattle proves that they are lost slaves.
