My Uncle never worked a day in his life and put all 4 of his kids through the most expensive colleges in America.
They live a life of luxury and have an odd quirk of taking 3 showers a day.

How did he pay for it? He's a Preacher.

You say what brings in the crowds who have money. You cater to your market.

That California Preacher is just doing the same.

Um, that picture is blasphemy dude. God does smite people. Ananias and Sapphira found that out the hard way, read Acts ch. 6.

Camping's last end of the world prediction was so widely broadcast that my children heard it on the news. He scared my children, took money from weak minded people and needs to have his butt kicked. No one should listen to this scoundrel.

I could see war breaking out on that day, not because Camping says so, but because Israel has to stop the Irainian nuke project.

And how is that end of the world?

Even if Israel attacks Iran (which is a low probability event), how is that any different from so many other wars that did not end the world?

It is illogical to say a word in defence of this man.

Religion is not a license for the foul-mouthed, This is the exact reason why Mullahs have duped the Muslims, in the garb of religion. The State should act against such people.

Please read what you typed and clarify.

God does smite people? That what god is doing at his computer.

As far as blasphemy goes, it only falls into that category if you subscribe to a religion. I believe in God, who by the way was not a declared religion. I firmly believe God is playing in front of an audience who is to afraid to laugh. It could always be worse... I mean killing a person over a cartoon? I think all religions need sensitivity training.

Btw I thought the bible says only God gets to judge people?

You know I kinda LOOK forward toward Armageddion because the bible says "S**t gets real!" Direct quote look it up

but seriously I'm not a sunday preacher nor am I religious but according to a REAL preacher not that campbell guy or whatever his name is, armageddion is war between good and evil a battle to last six or so years then god comes like the cavelry saves us and we get 1000 years of not even a stubbed toe! So fear not if your a good moral person but if it does happen, do as Country Joe and the fish say "Drop your books pick up your gun, we're gonna have a whole lotta fun"

As for Camping or campbell or whatever, He's NEEDs to pay some monetary sums to the families from the US all the way to Cambodia (a whole village of people in fact) who killed themselves because he had to pettle gloom and doom while people were at their worst.

I find it amazing that so many ill informed people believe that an attack on Iran will somehow lead to World War 3.

If a conflict breaks out between Israel/US and Iran........it will be nothing more than perhaps the scale and size of the Iraq war.......which was dwarfed by the size of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.......neither of which led to world war.

I thought Jesus categorically said -

(Matthew 24:36) . . ."Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father"

Obviously some people think this particular Scripture doesn't apply to them.

Kodak hadn't come into existence then sorry can't oblige with pics.....

Jesus as a historical being is not in dispute. Josephus and other Roman writers wrote about his life and death.

Matthew is probably the most attested to by outside sources of any of the Christian Greek writers.
John Mark also states also that Jesus said the same at Mark 13:32, 33

Many still believe in people like Harold Camping. It is only natural when one maps the world's current events to his words, and would certainly find matching parts.

Unfortunately, the truth is that if one were to map it upon ANY age of civilisation, the words of Harold would be equally matching. Strife and wars are common throughout civilisation.

But it never needs to be such. Their words are but reminders of the perils we mankind face if we are not careful, regardless if theocratic or secularists, for our Creator is known by many names, even to atheists, and His spirit fills inside us all, to know what is right, and what is wrong, and to make the difference to correct errors with our gifted free will.

Many awakened today would know what are humanity's ills. The disparity between the rich and poor is a chasm. Despite the quakes and flood, many nations could still produce excess resources to meet mankind's needs, or only to let such bounties go to waste.

But it is not happening, as the 99% were given low wages and cannot even feed himself, let alone his family, while the rich live lives beyond a fantasy author's imagination. While the super elites plays with the controls of humanity, many of the 99% suffered daily, and worse are the starving children that have vultures accompanying them, waiting for death to come, the horror and reality of what is truly happening today....

Having know what are the ills, we CANNOT simply hide in our own shells and hope it will go away. It wont. Reality is often painfull, more so with the choices we have to make, but nevertheless, the only way to correct errors.

Alone, we are powerless, but when you and I are combined, together with our families and social network, we can make the change to avert our fates. Destiny cannot be change, but determination of fates is in our hands, more so when we are united as one human race seeking for fair share of our planet's resources and not limited to only the elite few....

He should come up with something innovative like "Our world ended as I predicted, we are living now the projection of our mass conciousness taking shape and form of our previous realm" and then prove it with neutrinos now exceeding speed of light ;] ;] ;].
At least THAT would be funny.

I beg to differ........Jesus as a historical figure is and always will be in dispute.......there are no records of Jesus written when he was supposedly alive......only some time after.
Did Jesus exist as an historical figure.......perhaps........but it is disputable.

It's profitable for him, and he's targeting a group who honestly hopes theworld is going to end and everyone htey dislike will die and go to hell. So, both sides are winning here. Let 'em give him their money, they're clearly not doing anything useful with it.

what i think would be fun to do...get a bunch of old clothes from goodwill...and some dry ice..and leave random sets of clothes laying around in public with dry ice in it so it smokes....then watch the anarchy ensue..that would be hilarious

Well I beg to differ... when sympathisers or people with an agenda write about an event in history then that's one thing...... however when independent persons who come from an opposite perspective verify an historical event and actual persons, then it becomes alot more difficult to dismiss what they have written...

Josephus and Tacitus were two respected historians who lived in the first century and were not Christians. They mention Jesus Christ as a historical figure. Describing how Roman Emperor Nero blamed the Christians for the fire in Rome in 64 C.E., Tacitus wrote: “Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus [Christ], from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus.”

Both Josephus and Tacitus wrote about the Christians and Jesus in the same Century as he lived and died.

Both Josephus and Tactitus were born AFTER Jesus supposed death.......so neither had first hand experience with Jesus, and could only really glean accounts from others......and these accounts would have been several decades old before either Josephus and Tacitus were of the age that they could record these stories....which further brings doubt about the authenticity of these stories.
