theres that beautiful Iran in action sure would be a nice place to visit.

What point are you trying to make? They had a violent protest after a rigged election so it's a bad place? I can show you the same kind of images of American cities after their sports team loses a championship. People that live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks.

Yes the old thread was very good, but this is a timely reminder of the beauty of a country that is seldomly seen or spoken about in these days of conflict.
Thank you OP

I agree. Perhaps you could link some of the old threads so people can read them too? It is also good to compare some of the images to make rule out propaganda on both sides!

kudos to you

Some of you have a really skewed view of the rest of the world, Iran isn't much different than any other Islamic country. Maybe you should visit one before ranting about injustice and crimes against humanity, and in the meantime take a good look at your own precious US of A, the most tyrannic empire that ever existed...

Nice pics; remember war with Iraq? Iraq was just like that wonder country; know it is a hellhole bombed to dust filled with terrorist.

Let's see...

If you're a gay male living in Iran, you can be arrested and then executed. Over 100 homosexuals have been executed by the government since 1979.

If you're a lesbian, well, then you just get tortured. Fun, huh?

What about prostitution? I mean, how harsh can the punishment be if you just sell yourself for sex?

Execution.

Oh, well then that is a bit extreme, no?

What about cheating on your wife? I mean, we impeached a President for doing that, but what happens if he did it in Iran as a normal citizen?

Execution.

Oh....Well then okay.

What a fun civilized nation.

Iran is a beautiful country with a disgusting government, but it is not our business to stick our nose in and try to solve their issues. Let the Iranians take care of themselves and fight their oppressive dictatorship.

Where's the stock image of the toothless rpg toting raghead muslim with donkey? You know, like we see in the media.

I showed a bunch of people a pic of Tehran in Winter and asked them to name the city. Boulder CO, was the most popular answer, followed by Salt Lake City UT. Some refused to believe it was Tehran. I was told it was too hot in Iran for snow by a guy who's never been outside the Tri State apart from 4 days in Aruba he can't recall .

It might be interesting to put up some pics of the US, that document the shocking levels of poverty, backwardness and discrimination that occur in "the greatest country on Earth", for the sake of contrast.

Thank god we're perfect here in the USA Corporation. Although this crazy dude seems to think otherwise, singing about slavery, war, exploitation and corruption as though things like that could happen in this proud WASP nation of ours.

Interesting that every few weeks or months another of those 'beauty of iran' threads pop up. Always the same, always the same pictures. Why all the propaganda on repeat i wonder

S&F for you!!

I love these pics of Iran. Although I've never been there myself I know Iranian people are amongst the most calm mannered of all the citizens in the Middle East. Having been brought up there I should know

And thank you for this timely post. Even if it is an ugly truth that this post won't sway the thoughts of war mongering government officials in the US, it will at least maybe wake up the people to educate the upcoming generations when the US finally goes to war there.

I've heard the German countryside was quite beautifull in the fall when Hitler was Head of State.

This just proves what I have said before. No matter where you go in the world most folks just want a safe, easy life with things better for there kids than they had.

The problem with most if not all countries is there rulling elite. Old greedy men always sending young poor men to die.

Everyone of the buildings in those pictures are beautiful.... but they would look even better with a giant plume of smoke pouring from them because of a Tomahawk missile.

That is one of the more ignorant, disgusting comments I've seen on ATS in awhile. These people have as much control over their government as you had over what the Bush administration did. Yet you'd rather see homes destroyed, and humans killed, because apparently you think it would look better that way.

You think death and destruction looks better then happy families going about their lives. You, sir, are a horrible human being. I'll have nothing further to say to you.

There seems to be a misconception in this thread. I never said Iran wasn't guilty of some horrible atrocities towards its own people. Same as the USA here at home. We just put to death an innocent man in Georgia a few weeks ago. Perry is proud of the fact 200+ prisoners have been put to death under his watch, and no not every single one of them was guilty as charged.

If some of your read my OP before posting, you'd see I wanted to leave the politics out of it. I'm not ignoring it, but telling you to go discuss it in the other numerous threads already discussing Iranian politics. In my OP, I said I wanted to give people an opportunity to see the beautiful side of Iran. If you don't, then skip over it. Pretty hypocritical how some of you will bash other countries for committing crimes against their own(which Iran is guilty of), while acting as if here in the USA, we don't do the same, if not worse.

Some also think the Iranian people are guilty of their governments policies. Are we guilty of our governments policies? No, we don't have much control over what goes on behind the scenes, just as the average Iranian doesn't either. Yet we have people here saying "bomb away".

That's sick.

You can chose any word you want to write your comments, but be aware that as you send a comment it will show others about how you think and what you are made of.

I don't give a (4 letter word that starts with the letter F) where you live. The fact of the matter is that Iran, like every other Arab country is run by a bunch of nut job religious extremists, especially Iran and the "twelver" running Iran. He belongs in a mental institution for his insane views and beliefs. He'll be waiting a long time for that little boy to come crawling out of his well to destroy all of the infidels.

We want to things according our religion .

Whether Kafirs are hurting or not.

Deny arrogance.

I suggest you do some investigation beyond Internet and MSM to learn about Iran.

I suggested you to do some investigation. If you feel lazy about it , this is another fact.

I write English as second language but I chose more polite words than you do.

I was waiting for a wise ass response with some "Oh we the USA are so evil, we bomb the world, har har grabble grabble."

Yes, I am aware. Nowhere in my posts on this site have I ever stated that we are a perfect country. In fact, I'm the first in line to criticize our foreign policy along with the current status of our country.

Such a shame its all going to be smoldering rubble soon, all in the name of freedom
It seems to me TPTB know something they aren't letting everyone else in on, like some end of the world event coming soon. Its the reason they are snuffing out as many "tyrants" as they can before this big event happens.
