violating curfew

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here. Has martial law been declared in Boston? How are adults violating curfew?

Methinks thou dost hate OWS and will do whatever to discredit the movement. Me also thinks you are making things up, like supposed curfew violations. I will say again maybe I have missed something along the way but when the hell did adults have to be in by curfew?

If arresting peaceful protesters is ok in your book(obviously it is) then enjoy your police state.

Because the 99% is going to attempt to bring us socialism.

Socialism is not less government and regulation it is more of it and they turn a blind eye to human rights and inalienable rights and freedom as well.

If the 99% want something, then by the simple fact that they make up 99% of the society in question, they should be able to have it - regardless of what 1% of the population want or don't want. Seems pretty simple to me. I don't know why you think you're part of the 1%. They certainly don't think you are.

Well good thing this isn't about you, son.

Everyone else will see the video and they will see the . And you will become an ignored minority.

Anyhow.

*Protocol.....

"Protocol" does not excuse a rights violation.

"Just following orders" is no an excuse.

"Adhering to Department policy" has never been an excuse.

This is a meme that is growing in the country.

Eventually the millennials are going to come to power and I don't think they'll have a problem taking the pensions from those who "were only following policy". They have the technology to track down and keep records on almost everyone involved in subverting the country and the law of the land. It ridiculous how detailed the evidence will be when the time comes for prosecution.

Well, I just watched the video son and I didn't see the brutality. What I did see was the Police making several announcements to clear the area, a lawful order. I seen the Police putting cuffs on several people still didn't see any brutality. I heard a couple saying they were veterans, so does that make them exempt from following a lawful order by the Police? Don't think so. Guess I'll be one of the ignored minority too, huh.

Where do you get the idea that they represent 99% of the society? Nobody asked me. And no they don't represent me I prefer to think for myself and not be led like sheep like these protesters.

you are part of that 99% whether you like it or not...you're right that these protesters cannot represent the full 99%...but at least they try and stand up to tyranny in some form or another...I don't see many others doing the same...

What the people are trying to bring about with these protests is the restoration of what was promised on paper but no longer is being given. The consciousness of the world are realizing this is not a fight for any "ism" but that we have allowed ourselves to become alienated for what makes us human and connected with each other. The truth is we do not need a piece of paper to deliver innate rights, we have the power to give it to ourselves and to see that it is given to everyone in turn. In the universe the cosmic pendulum for the human race swings from one side to the other. It has reached the far end of one side and must now return to the other.

I wouldn't know, I am not a police officer.

I just happen to have respect for those who take an oath to protect the constitution.

The police do not take a constitutional oath, they are taking an oath for the STATES constitution as they are not federal, but a state entity.

You are wrong to blindly follow this, rights are being violated and it is unfortunate that you are so complacent as to be "OK" with all of this... our countries constitution is being eroded by a bureaucracy that seems to want to return to the ways of dutchees and fiefdoms.... Albeit a corporate facsimile of such a political environment...however a wage slave is still a slave. You cannot believe that the subversion of the first four amendments is good for us....please tell me you see that. If not there is nothing left to say to you sir.

Well before I once again get accused of trolling. Please read this thread at least before you do.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

wow, i almost feel bad for calling you out on linking this same thread again
if you're not trolling, what are you doing?
it's been explained to you, patiently, carefully, in all sorts of different language,
that this is not a socialist movement.
just because there are socialists involved does not mean they're running the show
cus they're just people too, a part of the 99%
just as legitimate as me and you
and they don't have the power to take over the minds of other thinking feeling people.
so i would say we're pretty safe.
which is exactly what we would not be if no one stood up to defend your freedoms.
as i write this i can feel an almost palpable sense of futility
i feel you're just going to turn this around and shout about socialism more
like in every other thread ever
what happened to you?
did your parents scare you with stories of the socialists under your bed as a child?
i just don't understand the irrational hatred here.

anyway, arguing on the internet is even more pointless and childish than arguing irl's
instead, i suggest you go down and see this all first hand.
even if you go to expressly protect the feeble minds of your fellow citizens
from the savaging zombie socialist hordes, it would be a start.
talk to people. learn about what's going on.
we want your input too, you know.
who knows, you might even enjoy it.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police is the world's oldest and largest nonprofit membership organization of police executives, with over 20,000 members in over 100 different countries.

you are misquoting that oath and you know it, those little numbers next to each word are denotations of what people may or may not use in this INTERNATIONAL police oath, that is from an international site, if you examine the US Police oaths, they are all about the STATEs constitution not the Federal...they are a state entity not a federal, then they would be US Marshall's....don't try that with me brother it won't work

The Law Enforcement Oath of Honor can be adjusted as appropriate for nations, countries or governments by inserting the appropriate terms. For example:
1 Insert appropriate term such as: badge; profession; country
2 Insert appropriate term such as: constitution, laws; monarch
3 Insert appropriate term such as: community; country; land; nation

from the same site, your a parceling this to make your point of view right... you would probably write excellent propaganda

My favorite part is when the officer knocks over that veteran and throws the American flag on the ground.

It was incredibly poetic...

God Bless the OWS movement, history will tell the story of the tyrants that manipulated the scales of Capitalism to work in their favor. Not alone but with the help of the corrupt police system, corrupt politicians and the general corruption of the business practices in this country. Ron Reagan and his cronies ushered in an anti union movement in the 80's that took the voice and power away from the worker, the rich corporate slave masters loved him. Clinton deregulated the banks and ushered in NAFTA, yet another knife in the back of the American worker. Democrat or Republican, it does not matter, this is about the power elite stealing and squandering the wealth of a once proud nation of good people. Now look at us, pathetic to think that a US citizen would cheer on police brutality against our own veterans.

Change the veterans into Colonial clothing and give the friggen Boston PD and Mass State Police fancy RED uniforms and we may just have witnessed a truly unintentional recreation of historical events in that very city, some 200 or so years ago. Right down to the total disrespect and near contempt for the American/Colonial Flag, as it were.

Simply unbelievable.

I don't really get why these protesters are just standing there getting hauled away by the police. I'm not talking about violence, this should be kept peaceful. But when the police come why doesn't everybody just sit down and refuse to move or help the police by walking. That whole thing on the bridge a week ago, if the police had to carry everyone off the bridge they would be stuffed after a couple of hours. Make the police do the work.

We must have been watching two entirely different events. I'm FAR closer to joining this movement now than I would ever have believed I would be several hours ago. I wonder if they even realize that effect they are generating? The more they move on unarmed American citizens with force, the more these numbers will multiply.

It's hard to build sympathy for the photos I've seen and posted out of the park in New York. It's disgraceful. However, that IS NOT the type of people I've been watching in these other cities all over tonight. Those weren't college kids and stoners in Boston. Those were United States Military Veterans and they deserved...neigh..they EARNED...respect and dignity they were NOT shown by the Police this night. Forgive me, but I am outraged, as every American ought to be.

Do you know what inalienable rights are? It doesn't matter if they're COLLEGE KIDS or STONERS!!! Cute to me that now you're willing to get onboard, but before when it involved people you don't give a rat's ass about, you didn't care. That's the kind of thinking that this movement is looking to snuff (selfish "I want all the pie, and who cares about those people I don't relate to/think/care about"). EMPATHY people! Humility too! You'll learn it, sooner or later...
