So we live within the firmament that separates the waters from the waters, the dry land that we call "Earth".

wrong actually... Bring a rock into a pool and it sinks...

That same rock would seem to be weightless in this environment, its actually an illusion because you're falling at the same rate as gravity pulls, but because you're in an enclosed area, you seem to be floating.

So a thread about prostitution gets 28 flags but a serious thread , thinking outside the box can't even get more than 2 stars

If it is heavier than the displaced water, it will drop to the ground, the heavier the faster.

Drop a screwdriver in space, orbiting earth: it will stay in place relatively to the spaceship, if we neglect the initial momentum.
