ATS Transponder: SE Rockies, Eliza here. No worries, Wookiep, you seemed to have misheard a transmission. I've been safe here at base camp with a
broken rib and some bruises. The 20+ that came through a couple of days ago and kidnapped then roughed me up are heading to Colorado Springs. I warned
them (even after they beat me up pretty good).
Everything's been a bit quieter the last two days. We are down two SUVs full of supplies, but my guys tell me they stacked empty boxes on the bottom,
so not as many supplies were taken.
Warning to anyone passing through Alamosa (on Hwy 160), that group was planning on heading that way first and then to Colorado Springs. They should
already be out of the area, but it's hard to say.
I'm not able to get around very quickly, but Dr. Rob says I'll be back to normal in a couple of weeks and doing much better in a few days. Going to
get some cabins ready for our new arrivals. We will set you up in South Fork at first. There are plenty of furnished cabins all over the place.
OVER.
Laying down exhausted I figure out which cabins will be best suited for our new members. The last few days have been hard for everyone, but we keep
on keepin' on. I smile. It's what makes us human. I reach for the local walkie-talkie and buzz in.
"Sara. Come in. This is Eliza. Over."
"Sara here. Go ahead. Over."
"Will you get two cabins ready near the post office? We have a small group and one other coming in sometime tonight or tomorrow. Make sure one has
at least four beds and linens. I can't remember the exact number coming. Over."
"Copy that. Over and Out."
Setting the walkie down I pull on a jacket and head to the hotel. I'm a bit hungry and need to check on food supplies after having to donate some to
the looters. The sun is shining. Not a cloud in the sky. Today's just like any other day to dear old Earth.
