More BS, misreprensentation. Those OWS people do not represent anywhere close to 99% of the American public. I would be suprised if they represented more than 10% of the population. More realistically, they are probably the 1%.

They say things like end capitalism, kill the rich, guarantee a living wage regardless of whether we work or not. Do you really think 99% of Americans believe anything like that. If they do then we are screwed, because 1% cannot possibly support 99% of the population to not work or to be paid more than their skills justify. Whats next, Federal subsidies for people who want to create an endless drum circle?

Over 50% of the population rejects ObamaCare, let alone the Marxism that these folks are pushing.

Do you reallym in all honesty, believe that 99% of Americans think like the folks at OWS?

You are smart. That is exactly right. Its a slogan and its far from the truth. Kinda like how they call Legal Baby Murder, Pro-Choice. They are the masters at taking bad ideas and making them sound nice and sweet.

Yeah, because "legal baby murderers" should be compared to people standing in a street speaking their minds.. Do you not see the extreme comparison there?

I didnt call the OWS people legal baby murderers, I simply said that the left loves to misrepresent the truth with nice names that sound like lots of people are onboard. See, most people on the left are guided by social acceptance. They will follow whatever they think most people follow. It is much like my teenage daughter. She does things she knows is wrong, because she craves to be part of a group. Certainly, its understandable for a girl her age. I have many talks to her to try to teach her the importance of doing whats right, regardless of whether your peers accept it or not.

Of course they dont... alot of americans only care about keeping their lousy jobs, making min payments on credit cards, watching american idol, sports, and jersey shore...

These protests are a great attempt at a mass awakening...

Thank you, OP!! I think the % of ATSrs who support OWS is much higher than 10% though (more like 75%). I can't wait to see the pole results here. Based on what I've seen and read, this group of protesters are part of the growing segment of our entitlement society who were groomed by the democrats over decades, beginning with FDR. Gimme Gimme Gimme...you owe us...etc...etc

I'm sick of hearing about it and I'm even more sick of hearing support for it. Capitalism and free markets helped make America the greatest country in the world. Just because there are apparently a lot of people among us who can't figure out how to earn a living and become something other than a leech in our society doesn't mean there's something wrong with capitalism.

OWS Supporters - Get a job, flip burgers, dig a ditch, sell something, create something, work your way up to a "living wage" and stop with your socialist BS already!! If you don't like the country...Leave...but don't mess it up for the rest of us!! Nothing in life is free. Grow up. Get off the nipple! I hope this pisses you off because you need a reality check. Somehow you made it this far in life without a clue! Not everything is a conspiracy!

99% of the populace are extremely pissed off and want the old system to end and end right now. I own a coffee shop and get every walk of human life in my place.

Out of all the people that walk in my door, I only have one that thinks like you do.

The corporate bootlicking is over.

The new era of humanity, without all the mind numbing greed is beginning.

Yes most people are tired of working to make someone else rich. People are tired of working the majority of the day just to stay stagnant and never gt ahead.

It is time.

Well the quibbles of the percentage
Is everyone working at the banks in the 1%? No, so of course the actual percent that the protesters represent is not 99%. I'm thinking that these protesters are being played. Numerous threads have discussed the fed and our own gov'ts role in the current mess. Kinda convenient that this is aimed at the bankers instead. Shortsightedness prevents a lot of people from realizing the combination of reasons for the economy. Blaming Bush doesn't go far enough back. Start looking back even further.

Sigh. Ok what that means is that .01% of the population now has
99% of the wealth. The other 99% has .01% left to share with each
other. So your saying your in that .01%? I don't think so.

They don't have to represent anyone. They ARE the 99%.
And so are you whether you like it or not.

And by the way, we do need to fix things in this country. But none of you have the answers. Killing bankers, destroying capitalism, getting free college, etc...these things will only make America worse. Get a job in the meantime. Maybe you'll have a solution when you figure out nothing is free.

Just because apparently a lot of people cannot figure out that capitalism is not any level higher than what animals do does mean that there is something insidiously evil and wrong about capitalism.

It is what lower beings do, lets step up to the plate for once and be humans.

Explain that to the people that can't get jobs because of one reason or another.

More misrepresentation.

1% doesnt own 99.9% of the wealth in this country.

Try again.
