It may just be simply that you are attributing weird experiences to the "spell" that you normally would just think is a crazy experience. I'm sure weird stuff has happened to you before a spell was cast and you just had nothing to blame it on. I think this may be the reason curses only work on people who believe in them because bad sh!t happens to everyone and if you think there's a curse on you then you would believe a curse is the cause.
