Yup well spotted.

When logic is applied to threads like this they can be very quickly debunked with in the first 2-3 pages followed by 20-30 pages of exchanging pointless insults only for the thread to be finally shut down and a couple of members banned after page 40 all because some OP wanted to start off a bit of a argument and grab some flags.

This thread has been debunked all we need now is for the OP to admit she lied, take a slap on the wrist form a mod and have this thread moved to the hoax forum. I fear however the 40 pages of petty squabbling is more likely.

i for one think it would be far more entertaining to read what her mother will post about when she awakens and gets back to her computer,

will be interesting to her what kinda dream she had while in the coma,

even if it (likely) is all made up it would still be more entertaining then a 404 of the thread.

ok..I have to admit that you are most likely correct... there is some very illogical , and almost too convenient thread setups here..as well as the page being left open on ATS , so she could post under her mom's account.

I guess it's difficult for me to understand how people would go to that sort of extreme for attention, or stars and flags..

That in itself just boggles my mind.

Firstly, I agree. This whole thing is not true to begin with.
But secondly if it was it is clear the woman has problems and they need to be dealt with, especially if there are children at stake. I never said lock her up, I actually said get her fixed. And that is good advice.
The locked up and sedated part was my own personal preference to the lunatic posting that goes on here. Like I said, if people don't believe what they are typing then don't type it. If they do believe it then so many people here are that far detached it's not funny.

And screw it, while I'm at it. Because this is not true I has it a guess the troll behind this whole farce should get checked out as they clearly have issues.
People need to get with reality whether they believe in it or not.

If you don’t believe it to be true then you should not have a need to insult the op’s mother like this.

Also I think the “troll” has a need for attention and probably looking to get a bit of a laugh out of this rather than a need for psychological help.

Just because someone types something that to you and I seems to be “crazy” does not actually make them crazy.

Don't know how the site works, yet you managed to post this in the exact same "dreams and personal predictions" section as your mom did with her earlier thread? I've seen hardcore ATS members post in the wrong forum. I think you know how this site works.

If you managed to find a way to do that, you could easily have found a way access your mom's previous posts without posting a wall of text asking random internet people to see if anything strikes us as odd.

I really hope that my doubts are incorrect.

Well for one thing you're adding to the "Oh so loathed" 30-40 pages of this thread by posting as much as you are in it. If you feel so strongly it's BS then why are you hanging around? For the thrill of being able to say "I told ya so!" ?

Also another thing....you and Anonymous Van both are talking about how you're so tired of these types of threads on ATS,and how this type of stuff is ruining ATS. You both signed up here in just the past few months! What do you know about what's ruining ATS? Seriously.

While there may be a good possibility that this is a load of crap, your skepticism has been noted in multiple (quadruple in one case) posts and I think by page three we're all pretty clear where you stand. Why not move on,and check back instead of adding to the trash heap that those of us who are actually interested in the topic have to wade through to get to the meat of it?

THAT'S why threads like these get to be 40 pages, and THAT'S what's ruining ATS.

On topic: If the OP does turn out to be sincere I truly hope that her mother pulls through this and her and her family can get some sort of comfort and/or answers to their questions.

Completely agree - if you feel like it's a load of BS then move on - unless you just get a kick out of trolling someone's thread.

The fact is that no matter how long you keep going on about how this couldn't be legit - you will never know for sure if it's crap or not because it is impossible to definitively prove either way and continued berating of the OP is not going to make her suddenly come out and say "oh, I was just joking"

Give it up. We know what you've decided and you've made your opinions perfectly clear

Edit:
I just want to clarify that I agree with horselover fat & this post is directed to the lovely couple trolling this thread...you know who you are

I intended for my first post to be sympathetic (though I was skeptical when I wrote it) so in keeping with my gut feeling about this thread, I will make a prediction of my own, at this point: "Amanda" *may be back to give a few more details about how Mom is doing and then she will stop posting (but probably already has) and after some time goes by, "Mama" will show up here, making some incredible claims regarding what she discovered while she was in coma. When that happens, we will have to decide for ourselves what we choose to believe.

I have a big problem with the mantra of “if you don’t like a thread avoid it”

If the only people who commented on a thread “liked” the thread or “agreed” with the thread this place would turn into the mad house. Could you imagine if everyone who commented a thread liked or agreed with it, ignorance would be rife if everyone liked what the OP had to say. If people like me didn’t post on threads like this ignorance would soon take over and this site would lose all credibility.

I am here to maintain the balance between ignorance and the truth.

Ah so you're the self appointed keeper of the flame eh? Thank you for saving us all from ignorance by filling three pages of this thread with the same opinion over and over.

No one said that you should not comment on a thread,or even that you should leave if you don't agree.
Like I said, you've made it clear that you feel the OP is BS. Then you go on to complain about how this thread will probably end up with 40 pages....all the while jamming the same opinion down everyone's throats for three pages.

By all means disagree, but don't bog down a thread with continual skepticism before the OP has even responded. That's a waste of pages, and a waste of everyone's time who wants to read other posts in the thread.

Now so as not to be a hypocrite and bog this thread down with MY same opinions I'll bid you g'day.

Oh, Please! This thread is about one individual person. This person never claimed from the beginning that they thought this was a message for the entire world, even though some of us think it is, so get over yourself.

Go back and read the original thread. There isn't one lick of information that sounds conjured up. If anything, it's boring compared to the dream itself. It doesn't keep building to a point of doom and gloom for the whole world, the OP turned it all back on herself.

Have we been reading the same thread, the OP is claiming that her mother has had recurring dreams, then received a message from god and shortly afterwards backed some strange cakes then went for a nap and is now trapped in the land of nod.

If that doesn’t sound conjured up to you then what does.

And is it not possible that the mother and “Amanda” are the same person? At least more possible that she has had recurring dreams followed by a message from god which led to her backing some cakes to “sustain” the family then went for a quick nap and is now trapped in the land of nod. And does it not also strike you as rather odd that the first thing “Amanda” does after her mum is rushed to hospital is to grab her mums laptop and crate this thread.

Sorry but if you can believe this you will believe anything like a gullible child believing in the tooth fairy.

OP knew enough how to post a thread and yet incapable enough to search out her 'mothers' threads/posts for possible clues?

Really?

If a mother, who a child loves, fell into a sudden and unexplainable coma the last place a normal person would be is combing through a conspiracy site for answers.

If anything MAYBE and a big 'maybe' they'd go through the cookies and history on her computer after logging on to "Ask the Doctor" dot com! (insert eye roll)

Give me a break.

I have all the compassion and empathy in the world for an injured fruit fly so it's not like I am riddled with apathy. Let's just say.....it came to me in a dream that this thread is utter bull*hit!

So when they rushed your mom to the hospital, the first thing you thought to do was to grab her computer, not yours, and take it with you to use there? And the computer stayed on and logged into her account as well? I take it was a laptop, not a desk top.

Methinks me smells a rat...

And apologies in advance if I'm being too much of a Sherlock Holmes here.....

To be fair to the OP, you can in fact switch off a computer or laptop and still be logged into something the next day when you switch it on. Happened with me in school and college all the time, switching one on and be logged into the account of someone who I knew last used it the day before.

As for this whole thread, I got no idea what to think.

The woman was suffering from extreme exhaustion. The doctor's have already ruled out a heart attack and they can't find anything wrong with her for now. I doubt we hear later that she died.
