www.livestream.com...

Have they figured out what they're protesting about yet?

I know there was a document released a day or two that was incredibly vague with references to "they" without actually mentioning who "they" are or anybody specifically... and also so wide ranging that half the population could be somehow linked to the elusive "they". Not very useful for setting up an actual plan of action.

So. Any specifics yet?

First of, you can not put a name to they and have htreatening actions. If you, like everyone else would do some research, you would know who "THEY" are. I am sure 95% of the people there KNOW who "they" are. Look up "Who owns the Federal Reserve", you will find the "they" all contained in there. It is filed in the library of Congress, so it is a legal government record of "They".

This is the type of ignorance that will ruin any attempt at getting something done.

its funny,i just saw the headlines on yahoo news and the say HUNDREDS not THOUSANDS lol.allways trying to downplay it.Thank God for internet....while we still have it that is.

Considering Yahoo got caught censoring peoples emails about the last 'gathering' I suppose this is the best they can do.

By the way I hope anyone out there who uses Yahoo changes to another email service. That is unless you enjoy being censored.

In the mean time - more power to these people/protestors. I hope this is just the beginning!!!

peace

Hard to organize when it is illegal to use a bullhorn at the protest......
really? Paul Revere did just fine with a horse and a lamp

don't need a bullhorn to create a petition ... not the lottery suggested or promoted.
don't need a bullhorn to speak your peace/piece ... internet works quite well.
a mass without a purpose? in science, i think that's called Dark mass ... is this?

Anyone with a shred of intelligence can see that the protest is against the very system itself, the people have had enough of working 40+ hrs a week and ending up with nothing, or going to school for years, ending up in massive debt, and being told that the job they are qualified for has been shipped to #ing India.

Some people just have their heads so far up TPTB's collective asses that they will try to derail any real movement towards change without hesitation. These are the same morons that will stick their nose up at this protest, but they'll line up in November to vote for a lap dog and act like they're really doing something.

anyone with a shred of knowledge will know what the protests of the 60s did ... nothing but make a mess.
not the civil rights movement either ... protests against govt actions like taxes, war, healthcare, blah, blah, blah.
did it end VN any sooner ? nope
did it improve the medical care provided to vets ? nope
did it change the way the govt does business ? nope
did it change the way ppl interact with their govt ? nope

what exactly did those peace protests (although, some were violent) accomplish?

what about the treatment of the public by the LEOs ??
did that get any better ??
are the criminals or victims better after "punishment" is applied ?
do the govt goons who are outed, get punished adequately ?
when the civil robbers lose their holdings, do the ppl benefit ?

please, if you are going to stand for something, be cohesive about it.
if you are going to promote misled meanderings, their leaders are in Washington.
this is hardly an organized "act of the people", "by the people" or for "the people", when it is, i'd be happy to join.

I see once again the brilliant yet classic ATS members are out in force...typing away about how the people who are trying to make a diffrence are not making a diffrence, they are wasting their time etc. etc....

...and what are you doing? complaining about the world on a forum daily...well done people!

I'll tell you what i'm NOT doing.....and that's supporting their CORPORATIONS!!! I dont drive....i dont use a bank...i dont borrow....i dont spend frivolously....i dont watch tv....i dont have a blackberry...heck, i dont even have a J.O.B.; and haven't had one in 5 years....YET, i'm still here....and doing VERY WELL!

People can 'go out into the streets' and "protest" all they want...but what good does it do, when Monday morning, they're back to "business as usual"? And, why...by chance....did they chose a FRIDAY to do their protesting? Why not start it on...let's say....Monday?

What i can see, is a bunch of SHILLS...like yourself...who actually GET PAID...to misinform people. Where are you stationed??? Who's your commanding officer??? Better yet, what are YOU doing...to make a "difference"? Applauding from the stands, or are you a cheerleader?

And, since you're so....Rah, rah, rah about this protest....where were you in 2001, when George W. Bush, Jr was APPOINTED....commander in chief? The 1st president EVER to have been appointed by the courts...and not elected by the people! Or how about 2008...when he gave HIS BUDDIES....YOUR MONEY??? Did you protest, then...or continue using "THEIR" banks??? I bet you still have a bank account, right? hahahaahah

Give it up already.....this type of mis-leading of people's lives...is a pretty big deal....especially when they THINK they're doing something, for the right reason, and they're not! And you know what's really sad...all this lying, being done, by TPTB...which, by the way...is messing up OUR GRANDCHILDREN'S future! Not 'their' grandchildren, BUT OURS...Sir/Maam! And yes, that includes yours, as well. You don't really believe, TPTB are gonna HOOK YOU UP...when SHTF, do you? If so, i got property on the moon, with an amazing view...that you can purchase for $1 dollar down, and $1,000 a month....for the rest of your life. Fair enough???

I wonder if people understand....today's corporations...have been passed down, from generation to generation....AT ALL COST....and the people running them, now (great, great, great grandchildren) don't want to be the one's responsible for blowing the family inheritance. Feel what i'm saying??? What are you leaving YOUR children...oh, "difference maker" besides a MOUNTAIN of DEBT???

So you have people who a) Have no idea what they're talking about.
b) dont give a damn
c) Believe change is impossible.
and d)Are unable to do anything because they are trapped in the system and have no choice but to be. No matter how much they want to march

I dont see how they need a set of concrete demands, thats not the point. We know whos #ing society. We know that wars for profit are happening. We know there are millions of people who are unemployed. We know jobs are being shipped off. We know that big corps (like exxon) are avoiding taxes, and get 'special treatment'.

Get up off your asses and go do something. There does not need to be a set of concrete demands (and they do have one), because it is against ALL of it. And it all starts somewhere.

This should have happened when our " Leaders " bailed out the banksters.....

It is sad that it took 3 years for the masses to wake up......

You must have missed the "TeaParty" movement.

Since the media and Democrats were painting them as racists, people just believed whatever they were told. When the bank bailouts were happening, the 'TeaParty' movement gathered in Washington to protest. Over 10,000 protestors showed up.

When good and honest families protest peacefully, the media and Democrats called them racists.

When teen and young adult political activists protest violently, the media and Democrats call it the greatest thing on the planet.

I call it a disconnect in rationality.

It was originally a protest against corporate greed and the evils of capitalism, you know....that thing that keeps our economy functioning and people employed. Then some union thugs decided it would be a good idea to ally themselves with this bunch. Now they are basically protesting for the deprivatization of industries in the name of human rights and fairness...otherwise known as communism. It's a pathetic attempt at a Marxist revolt, and as soon as these whining children, who have probably never had to work a day in their lives for anything, get taught by the union guys the right lyrics to L'Internationale, I'd suggest that New York's Finest engage in some street cleaning. I wonder how many of these kids went to college on money that was created using the very mechanisms on Wall Street that they are now protesting. Utterly delusional.

Many of these people are protesting about joblessness, and they are blaming Wall Street for the lack of jobs. Obama's failed policies caused the joblessness, so the protestor's anger is in the wrong place.

*shrugs*

'Haves' versus the 'have nots'.

Marxism driven by Democrat Unions at its best.

These people should be protesting in Washington.

Anyone who goes wear a suit or have a nice white shirt and encorage others to do the same this will cause confusion with police also take with you food and water and some supplys for others, please take warm clothes and gloves please remember most of the world are watching and you Americans who see what is happening are making us proud.

Anyone who disagres is just scared of the outcome they know the goverment is opresive and they fear for their own saftey if this movement keep growing, and anyone who thinks this is socalism or communism please remember that this is the system we all have, IT IS CAPATALISM FOR THE 99%, AND SOCALISM FOR THE 1% and we all know who has and who does not so wake up and see sense like the brave Americans who stand for basic equality.

It is now or never mark my words the current monatary system will change soon and we must be the ones to make the changes so that they are fair if we allow the current elite to mould their new world we will suffer ten fold and the people who are on the fence or in the yard will wish they had joined this movement.

Take care for you have all our dreams in your hands

They interviewed a few of the pawns of Soros.
They wanted to get rid of capitalism. OK, and replace it with what?

They had no answers!

One woman said communism but they quickly pushed her away from the camera.

Sadly, I think most of the population falls into the B category--not giving a damn.

I posted something on my Facebook wall just to see if people were even interested in this and I got two responses, but neither was really supportive of what was going on. Most of my friends are typical family-oriented 30 somethings who are more worried about making their mortgage payment and putting food on the table than trying to change the system. It saddens me because as revolutionary as this movement seems, if it doesn't reach the masses it won't be able to take off.

So how do you have a place to live or pay for utilities?

On topic: I have to admit I thought this thing was retarded as hell when it started; it looked like a bunch of self-entitled douchebag kids born after 1993 complaining about God-knows-what. Glad to see it turned in to a respectable protest, hopefully it elicits some change.
