When trying to post, I get a blank screen and this message pops up. I KNOW....IE sux....before anyone says that. What does this mean? I did not click on any ads, just hit the "reply" button. Here's the message I got....

How does Internet Explorer help protect me from cross-site scripting attacks?

Internet Explorer's Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Filter can help prevent one website from adding script code to another website. XSS Filter watches how websites interact, and when it recognizes a potential attack, it will automatically block script code from running. When this happens, you will see a message in the Information bar letting you know that the webpage was modified to help protect your privacy and security. If the modified webpage does not work properly, try going to the home page of the website and navigating to the webpage directly. If the page still does not work correctly, contact the website's administrator.

You pretty much know the answer already...don't use IE.

This is a security feature they have, triggered by the ad sites. I haven't used that browser in ages though, so I'm not sure about the specifics or how to disable it, without looking. If you want to eliminate it, posting in the Computer Help forum will likely get you a quick answer.

I usually use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome (or Safari when on my MacBook).

I'm sure redirects was a problem and just got one today after not having
any for quite awhile.

I found this
85.195.92.43,2011-10-20 23:14:22,TDSS/TDL/Alureon MBR rootkit Checkin
on this list
139.146.167.20...
from the following information:
www.bing.com...

I noticed 85.195.92.43 active on my computer looking at ports and that didn't sit well.
Google gives:

Lookup ip address - 85.195.92.43 ipdb.at... IP address is numbered 85.195.92.43. This IP address is active in Germany. IP Country code is DE. In organization "Vadim Makarenko", IP address is assigned ...

and this:
www.google.com...
He has a Facebook page and all but how did he find my computer.
Anyway will look into rootkit eradicators which topic I found years ago but
had no problem then.
technet.microsoft.com...
here it is
www.gmer.net...
still think its network settings perhaps switch networks to make them listen to you

Some one mentioned the page shifting clicker that sends you to pages
you never knew existed and this can result in going to pages with malware.

So your Anti Virus program is working good if you find those and are stopped.

Ho ya PROMIS
caselink.nashville.gov...

Sound like the start of PROMIS

In the 1980's Inslaw, Inc developed a software program called PROMIS (Prosecutor's

Management Information System) the Fed's took the software and modified and added

backdoors to it. This led to three separate court cases brought by Inslaw claiming

the government violated the contract and was engaging in software piracy.

No such thing is happening. If it were, we'd be in violation of our privacy policy linked at the bottom of every page, and in serious legal trouble.

If you think that's happening, why not report us to your state's Attorney General instead of posting lies?

Within the context of a thread titled, "What the heck is going on with ATS," you can imagine the misinterpretation was an easy one to make. Sorry.
