I pretty sure there haven't been any big ones like that here, but we do have a feral pig problem here as well.
It's funny because they are blaming it on a famous rocker from our state, saying he brought over Russian boars to hunt and they escaped.

Right now, you are allowed to shoot on site, according to my neighbor.

At a deli near Litchfield Beach, and Pawleys Island Beach, are photos of the boars killed in the national Francis Marion forrest. They are 800 to 900 lbs. These big pigs are bigger than the one in the Florida photo. I think the
wild boars were brought over with the European colonists and now roam freely in the coastal marshes, forrests, and the crop fields on the East coast of South Carolina. The photo is probably very real.

You shouldn't assume the size of it determines that it's fake.
This one was proven to be real.

Why do i get the feelin that some creatures are turning into dinosaur sized animals. Really, i mean look at the thing. It's hairy, very large, and look at those teeth. Never go into those areas unless you are packin. SERIOUSLY.
You never know what you might run into. A large alligator, pig, snake, or a man eating fish. I have seen pics and heard some really interesting stories of people who say that these things really exist. I myself have a few stories. When i was 13 i went fishin down by the river. I remember i went down to the hole to catch some big carp like i have before. That day i remember that nothing was biting and i was about to give in, until i got a big bite. It pulled on the line, so i gave it a tug. My line flew upstream and then back down and then it just sat in one place. I thought i lost it because i pulled on it and i thought i was snagged on something. Mind you, i had 100 pound tess line on. I pulled and pulled and then finally it started to slowly come towards me as i pulled it in. The thing stopped just six feet in front of me. I pulled hard, but it did not budge. Then, it slowly started moving farther out into the river upstream. I tried to hold it, but the thing was pulling me into the river. The next thing i heard sounded like someone shot a .22 pistol. My line snapped and the sinker came out of the water like a bullet and struck my hand. It hit me between my thumb and pointer finger, the fleshy area. I had to leave my stuff and bike home so i could get to the doc to get fixed up. Another time, i went fishin. Just before i got to the bank, i could see this huge turtle sunnin itself in the grass on the other side of the river bank. I guessed the shell to be about 4 feet in diameter. It's head was huge. It propped up it's head and looked at me for about 5 seconds and then it plunged into the water. To this day, i think that when my 100 pound line snapped, that turtle is what i had on that day. Who knows. That is the largest turtle i have ever seen in the wild. I still wonder what kind of turtle that was. A recent story. My neighbor came over and asked me to kill a spider hanging on her garage. I got my broom and off we went. When i got there, i was dumbfounded, like WTF. The thing was a light brown hairy large spider of about a foot in diameter with the legs. The only thing that went thru my mind was to kill it because i did not want that thing to breed under my house. I went over to it and wipped the broom at it. It flew like lightning speed and all four of us ran. I got a shovel out of my garage and went to locate the thing. I found it in the grass and i beat it with the shovel. I tried to locate this spider on the internet, but i could not find it anywhere. Why do i run into these weird creatures all the time. One time, me and a couple of friends were drinking and i stepped outside to have a ciggarett. To my surprise, a huge fly came buzzing by my head and it turned around and landed on the deck. The thing was about the size of a pack of ciggaretts. I then yelled out to the others to come and see this thing and we all stared at it, until it flew away. I made fun of one of the guys because he was scared #less as it flew past his head and he ran into the house. He did have a point. He said, you don't know what kind of diseases that thing carries with it. The statement rattled me to my core and i shut all the windows in the house.

Well whatever it is, wild boar or feral pig that escaped into the wild, or however big it gets it still looks delicious to me.

Though even the smaller wild boars are dangerous if in flight or flee mode, something that weighs 1000 pounds or more can really throw a man around like a rag doll. And with the tusks even the smaller ones will cut you open and even kill you, but something that big. It will tear a man apart and gut you if it gets hold of something.

I know they can get pretty big, especially since there is plenty of room, food, and no big natural predators such as lions and all other types of apex predators in those states, they are free to just grow and grow. Thought just in case, somebody should check up with Monsanto looks like some of there experiment's/products escaped into the wild and are thriving.

they're not fake. it's a wild boar crossed with a domestic hog. and they are not sterile like mules are.

that's a trophy for sure. you could feed 900 people with that in a creole stew.

if SHTF, i'm moving to wild boar country.

remember when Rambo killed that wild boar in 'First Blood'. that was sweet, he jumped straight down from a tree with a homemade spear made from tree limp and his combat knife. GOOD TIMES

WOW, i saw this second pig on the history channel. The kid shot it. Look at it, it is the size of a small car. Dinosaur size pig. Are species on this earth going back to dinosaur size? I have seen alot of wierd things by my house. I figured it was because i lived to close to the city's sewage plant. That is what i chalked it up to be anyways. A freak of nature, but now i'm beginning to wonder.

yes the feral pigs do get this big and they are starting to run shows on t.v. of people hunting these monsters. they are out of control down south and they are trying to reign them in. they are tearing up lots of property. and driving away other animals. they are a real nightmare.
what i remember hearing on a show is that the russian boars have cross bred with the native wild boars and the new ones are much bigger and meaner

A positive note: This is the best seanario for survival when SHTF. A large pig. Lots of fixins to go around. ROAST PIG.
They populate in large numbers too. I cannot see anyone over there in those states that have that problem with the pigs to go hungry. So many of those piggies over there to choose from. Makes a person want to buy a motor home and live in the outback country and shoot pigs for food and live off the grid.

there are problems with this story that makes parts of it fake that may mean the photo is also likely fake.

Texas BowHunter.com claim this big boar was shot in Northern Louisiana.

Another claims it was shot and killed in Conroe, Texas by a radiology technician.

A farm raised wild boar shot near Tours France

Another said it was a pen raised wild boar and was shot at a game "ranch" in Germany (fattened for the kill)

When you have so many stories that don't coincide you have to be very sceptical.

I believe its a overlay and the guy is posing in front of something else and they have overlayed a out if scale photo of the wild boar over what he was posing in front of .

I my self wonder at the "nature tours" sign on the truck and what the emblem in the passengers door is if someone could enhance it.

Its when you look at the three photos and look at the ground you see the problem. note the plant life or lack of.
