I dont under stand. Just about every one hear knows whats going on. This war is fake, its not to protect our freedom. We have lost freedom because of our goverment not the middle east. These dumbo's think they are defending their country when they are defending the new world order

I never said i agreed with what she states on the video im just curious on how many ATS members would agree with her, she seems like a pretty well-versed intelligent lady plus shes a historian so shes gotta know something about what shes talking about right ? Screw her, I grew up poor as hell and didn't have much of a choice but to go into the military, I bet her parents paid for her to go to college. Most kids think they are doing a good thing joining too, they don't know what the world is really like yet, they think they are fighting for a good cause, as we are all propagandized to think.

I have always questioned as to why troops don't just set down their guns and walk away...

THAT would be protecting freedom at this point.

Why do they want to keep us so poor? Poor people join the military. I almost did it, and then I thought to myself "I don't want to kill anyone, I have never met these people, they have children, mothers".

She makes a more than valid point, she makes an obvious point...

To say this is anti American is to say that to be American is to be loyal, without question, and kill, unquestioningly.

She has a point, even though she chose a harsh and slightly offensive way at going about it.
Many people I've heard quote that the soldiers are "protecting our freedoms", "keeping us free", and "fightin' off 'dem terr-ists".
I don't think I've had many of my freedoms stripped away by anyone is a 3rd world country, to my knowledge, but I haven't researched into that. The only people doing that are coincidentally the people in power, our Governments and our leaders.

lol, obviously the propaganda still works, even when you know its there.

do you ever stop to think of what life is like through someone else's eyes? did the military eliminate your compassion even at the most basic level? THINK. do you think young black boys in the ghetto are getting propaganda to waste their lives going to college and in the military? or are they being told they are worthless and should waste their lives with drugs? do they see black men around them successful in the military or with college degrees? or do they see them successful in drug deals and hookers and rap videos and sports?

That happened once between the Aussies and Germans on a section of the the western front in WW1 on a christmas day. Both sides just didn't fight and swapped ciggaretts and had a chat. No one died for a day.

Not sure why people like yourself always want to make everything into a race issue, no one is even talking about race, for all you know I could be one of those poor black kids you are referring to. You are asking me if I ever ask myself what it is like through other peoples eyes, when that was the whole point of my original post in the first place. I don't know what happens when you join the defence force in the U.S but in Australia you're swarn to defend the country and its interests and saddly a soldier doesn't get to decide what those interest might be.

Soldiers aren't dumb by any means and your soldiers would be the first to defend you.

No matter how much you disagree with your government you should always support your troops. And they are your troops.

It's EASIER than pulling the actual trigger! It requires LESS thought and LESS physical activity to drop a gun than shoot one! Well... Gee, then this whole new world without the needless atrocities of men, women and children opens up, and we can start chatting and smoking!
