Well, the government hands out talking points which the talking heads read as news. The government also provides experts for interviews. Their comments are also taken as news. I'd post the expose' video Rick Sanchez made, but I cannot find it. Anyone?

Penn and Teller, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are elitists. There is religion, conservatism, and traditionalism in that lot. They are just a tease to make you think you are in the know. Their real agenda is to get richer.

PENN and TELLER are, once again, doing what they do best: Slight of hand. Unfortunately, many people will glide along haplessly with their manipulative reasoning, and do what P&T want them to do: Avoid thinking about and asking the REAL questions.

The REAL conspiracy behind 9/11 is not whether or not it happened, as certainly the towers are gone and thousands lost their lives. Thus, featuring a Fire Chief to parry ALL conspiracies by stating he was there and lost friends only counters those that for some reason the horror of the event has them locked into some kind of denial that the event didn't take place at all. However, confirming that the event actually happened does nothing to explain away the conspiratorial "who was REALLY behind 9/11?, and, Why?," and the details thereof. P&T cleverly attempt to mass the two distinct issues together, and for me, they come off as trying to protect those behind the conspiracy with flashy yet abusive stage techniques.

When I present or attend top level science conferences [with a broad range of informed AND uninformed people attending] that might, in some way, touch upon topics related to psychic ability or UFO's, there is always a speaker in attendance who's job is to pull a P&T: To diffuse the issue with a lot of deceptive and manipulative reasoning, parrying away the heart of the issues. I watch in horror as audience members ignorantly and stupidly follow the speakers reasoning away from the really great questions, like sheep in a field.

Its starting to piss me off how the conspiracy theory is just becoming another market, Its becoming pop Like everything that try to tell us the truth. I.E. Hip Hop and Rock & Roll. But now its more blatant than subtle messagws in music and the conspiracy of corrupt govts its self is becoming the the new Pop culture. You notice how everyone on on tv who talks about 911 and other things are made out to be loony's or stupid when in fact most of the people who look into this these things have done a lot more research than the people who just sit and watch these shows.

So anyhow, so you are basically saying that you will not accept any proof that does not contribute to your theories? I think there is a guy in that video that shares your logic, check out video they interview people that were there... so how about trusting that your comment is silly, uninformed, and very rude. Watch video before making silly comments that spit on the face of the people in the video.

Also Penn and Teller use alot of terrible examples of what some Truthers really believe.
They debunked nothing.
And instead came across almost like some sort of PsyOp Puppets. First off they mention the fact that at least 49% want truth, and honesty...but label them "f****** crazy"...this is not unbiased...it is drivel to make you feel like you would to be crazy if you dare question what government told you.
What i know is that WTC7 was "Pulled"(Definition-Demolished) and Towers 1&2 coming down exactly the same way, explain that, and i might be swayed towards the "It Was Just Too Hot Theory".
Also if it was so hot how did people who jumped not melt faster than Steal?
The Steal would have had to start Weakening instantly for it to fall as fast as it did...i suppose human skin and tissue is just much more resiliant than metals.

The mainstream views, and theorys were hard to believe from day one. The 9/11 Commisions report of the official story ignored key facts, evidence, proof and also alot of questions from Familys of the victims. They continue to ignore them...like you.

I had only read your post and responded it to it , I rarely read the follow up posts from others as usually most of it is just personal opinion.
However I did read your response to my post, which I then responded to!

I havent done any research into 9/11 other than what I've read on ATS or other news sites.
However as I have already made my mind up about 9/11 based on the fact that the Bush knew about the plane jacking and done nothing well , that summed it up for me , followed by osama's family being flown out, then the market gains for some companies and then finally the invasion of iraq!

You wont really get much evidence about 9/11 other than the evidence individually gathered by those who live around the area or those with access to the information. Or those with a vested interest or those asked as consultants.
The official investigation , well they took away all that metal , and all of those pilots who stated that the flight itself was impossible.
I mean why would you believe a person "John Lear " for example , who has more flight time than almost everyone ( i exaggerate) however you get my point , he knows for a fact it was impossible.As many other pilots have claimed. yet someone with little to now flight training managed the impossible.
Then you have all the structural engineers examining the collapse and going on record to claim it was impossible.

Then you go on to use two comedian / magicians , to independently debunk the conspiracy!
you find them more credible than a pilot with thousands of flight hours and almost every FAA license in existance!

Anyways we wont ever hear the truth about 9/11 because as far as the US government is concerned is done with ! Move along , these arent the droids your looking for!

Plus I'm sure read several books that covered the real truth trying to build a strong enough case pointing to evidence obvious of the conspiracy. You want us to do the research for you 2 prove what? If you can't see the obvious line between fact and fiction you got problems. A 9 1/2 minute video disproving what the average 9/11 truth documentary spent over 2 1/2 hours breaking down crash by crash.

This post is flat out offensive and should not only be taken down but I think you should be flagged with a warning at the least. THe damn info under the vid even says "Penn & Teller Bull#." # these assholes. The first minute of the video is already wanting me to snatch them up and hang em upside down in front of a 9/11 truth mob.

Your support of the info in this vid and offensive statements throughout the thread deserves at least a nice solid double bitchslap if not a good ol fashion malay because of it. You've wasted everyone's time with this entire thread and thanks for taking attention away from the important Elenin issue at hand for the next 72 hours.

I am a fan of Pen and Teller's show, and it is often very entertaining. HOWEVER, I have watched this episode several times, and have many qualms with it.

1. No mention whatsoever of Building 7, which is what I would consider this most compelling evidence for controlled demolition. It makes their job much easier not even addressing this completely impossible collapse.

2. Pen says at one point something along the lines of "Conspiracy theorists just can't handle the real reality of how there are actually terrible people out there who want to harm us, so they create one which is emotionally easier to deal with." This logic makes zero sense to me- accepting that our government staged a horrific attack against our own country is much harder to deal with than taking the official story as fact. From my own personal experience, I fought against the ideas of 9/11 being an inside job for several years, simply because if they were true, the implications would be so vast that it would change my entire perception and way of living. It was much more comfortable living within the mindset provided by the MSM, than the uncomfortable truths which I now accept

3. Pen says it is disrespectful to the people who died on 9/11 to look into alternate explanations other than the official story. I completely disagree- if anything you are paying tribute and respect to the dead by searching for why they were killed.

4. Pen only interviews the most ridiculous of people in the 9/11 truth movement, and not only that, he does everything in his power to make them seem idiotic, thus painting the entire movement with a broad brush.

I lost a lot of respect for this program due to this episode

- Penn and Teller I did use to like their bull# show. However, you quickly realize they use Straw man and pity techniques through out the show.

For instance, Here is this whack job out of an hour footage, lets show the most brutal stuff he does...including acting like a chicken (which I think they planted him just to show that), give his input then make fun of him and bash him. Next scene goes to talking about firemen and how brave they are. Yet firemen and police alike still think it could be fake.

That's exploiting iconic individuals (or a group). Too many logically fallacies that if you see what they are doing is basically arguing that if you believe this, you too are crazy. With no real credible arguments on both sides.

I stopped watching the show just because I realized how wrong they can be and only appeal to the masses.

Jimmy Walter = peon, look how he jumps around when speaking, purple tie..wtf. Look unorganized, mocking people who actually do research. 6:10 proves all this, how pathetic.
